most likely true, if we get a team in a shoot out maybe we pull one off if we make playoffs. need speed and help at CB and LB...... CB's are coming and hopeful fast LB's as well. we been awful for what 20 years ? kinda of enjoying the season as it has been entertaining .......

Yea I’m cool they already exceeded expectations imo assuming we finish strong. I’m just making sure people know and their expectations aren’t title or bust. Cause the fire Mario brigade is by the fire alarm ready to pull it…..forgetting that we been cheeks for 20 years. And he has done an A+ job in my eyes

Offense that has missed shots vs Def that can give up shots.


Best offense vs best defense.

The goal this year was to win 9 or 10 games to keep building the roster! This team is clearly doing that. And as long as the O line holds up good luck to anyone trying to stop this offense. Get that pass rush humming and I think we can look a little better on defense
 
Georgia’s offense looks like our defense, Ohio State’s defense is not as good as you think, that leaves Texas and Oregon, I’m sure we won’t play both.

Eh part of it is pace. Louisville threw the ball 19 times against GA Tech and ran 27 times. Against us they threw 51! passes and ran 21.


SMU gave up more yards than we did. They just didn’t give up a kick off return or turn it over near their own end zone.
 
I feel we should be playing the young safeties more than we are already playing them. They may not be better, but they will get better by playing.

Zaquan Patterson for sure and obvious. Dylan Day has made some standout plays/tackles on specials here n there and I can't help but think that'd play up and I'd probably be willing to sacrifice something else to get him in to play some run downs hoping his prowess on specials has him not pinch and make a ******* tackle.

Bob Stafford, Juice Frederique, and Rob Washington...I've seen enough of Dyoni Hill. A few plays from each of those guys to eat away at Hill's snaps please. 🙏 Sheeeeeeesh.

By the end of the year when it'll matter, they'll have to be better than what we've got now.
 
You might be correct..it’s just that games must be played and anything can happen…we all know just about anybody can put up 30 or 40 on our defense we also know we can put up 40 or 50 on any defense so you never you

Plus, if there has been one kryptonite to Georgia over the years, even in their most dominant defensive years, it is a dual-threat QB. We have a pretty good one of those. That 3rd and 17 conversion, he covered 20+ yards and it looked like he was barely even running.

Lol. The majority of this board does not need you to set expectations for us and ALL of us do not forget the past 20 years.

You started this thread now at 20 pages with a lot of people agreeing with you that "we can't play with the top teams." Now it seems you are backtracking and just saying people's expectations should not be "title or bust?" Which is it?

This team can absolutely play with anyone. And if anyone is "title or fire Mario" feel free to raise your hand. I sure have not seen those people on this site. I think the majority of the people on this board fairly think that with Cam and this offense anything is possible, but at the same time realize we'd have to overcome some major deficiencies and get a little lucky to get to where we want to be at the end of the year.

Hopefully the players do not have the same loser mentality as some of y'all. Can't believe some of you defending the original post to the death without offering much more than "well ya, our DBs suck." Do you all even watch other games and teams?
 
Hopefully another solid recruit class and portal group can kick us up a notch.
