We wont beat top tier Teams

Vanderbilt was hearing the same **** a week ago,

No One can beat us, till they beat us, playoffs still TBD..

With Ward at the helm I feel confident we can beat any team.

My concern is special teams. We are going to beat the **** out of fsu, BUT watch their kicking game…..pressures on punts and f/g’s and run backs on our punts and kickoffs……just saying
A lot of our defensive problems are because we over pursue and poor tackling.

I do not disagree but how many elite teams are there? I say less than five. If Miami can go undefeated and win the ACC they get a bye and the 3 or 4 seed. I will take that.

The talent is what it is in the secondary. However, nobody can honestly look at this defense and say that it is a well coached unit. We have holes on D but our talent is certainly good enough to not be dead last in points allowed in ACC play.

Agreed. Maybe not even that many elite teams.

Why not? We beat them last year with Emory as QB. My god people stop all the negative bull **** on this board!! Be ******* happy, we have an elite QB a great championship level offense.

You are correct.

The last 4 games, going back to USF, we have been gashed as a god awful defense. And it hasn’t just been the DB’s

The definition of “elite” changes each year. It’s a variable dependent on what the teams put out, and isn’t constant. This year, there are no complete teams, but “elite” just refers to the best.

The real problem is the preseason rankings that ***** with everyone’s notion of who “should” and “shouldn’t” be good. Josh Pate has been doing a good series on why the AP Poll is a joke.

Va tech and uf looked good this weekend and honestly both should be at least 5-2 this season if not for mishaps

USF won as well

Cal has been a tough out for anyone (beat an sec team) and most of their losses have been by 1 score or less

Miami schedule is not great but it’s also not bad either

So far 3 wins over power 5 teams with winning records is good

The schedule complaints against Miami are getting old.

Who has Penn State beat? A 3-4 USC team. WVU who now has a losing record. The win by 7 against Bowling Green? They have one decent win against Illinois which isn’t much better than Va Tech, L’ville, or Florida.

People post like this to cope, but we only have to be better than the teams we play on the day we play them. So sad, they can’t even enjoy the moment.

I think Clemson can get stops defensively against us and our secondary wouldn't allow us to get stops against them. That's why. Look I am happy they are winning but I have to be real with what I see big dawg. A few guys in the secondary to me are unplayable and get burn jadais and jaden.

I can enjoy the moment and be objective also. You can't tell me that you think if we played Clemson tomorrow on a neutral site that we would be favored based off what you have seen from both teams. We just let Louisville look like Ohio state or Oregon against us. Louisville is a good team but I doubt they top 40 against anyone else on the schedule. If that doesn't tell you something then you are delusional.
