We wont beat top tier Teams

Why not? We beat them last year with Emory as QB. My god people stop all the negative bull **** on this board!! Be ******* happy, we have an elite QB a great championship level offense.
People can’t enjoy the best and most exciting CANES season in forever.

The same mopers as usual.

We are sitting here with the leading candidate for Heisman, the leading offense in the country, and people just want to COMPLAIN.

Yes, we have issues on defense. Could we drop a game or two ? I believe every team in college football has showed they have vulnerabilities.

We really were a kickoff return for a TD I believe from running away with a game against the best offensive mind in the ACC. Everybody noted before the game this was going to be a tough game.

We won!! Since the players already have had to move on to FSU..::: Let’s celebrate the victory for the rest of the weekend on behalf of the players???

Pre season pretty much everyone thought we were an 8-4 floor / 10-2 ceiling team with a couple glaring deficiencies. We might not be ready for a Natty, but let’s just enjoy a great season with quite possibly the best qb we’ve ever had. Go Canes!

Washington last year was very similar to Miami.

We’re not going to solve the secondary talent issue this season. All we can do is tighten up some of the controllables and steal some drives with our pass rush.

Very similar teams, for sure.

I've been saying this all year, we have difference makers on the DL that will give us just enough to get teams behind schedule and nickel and dime some defensive drives, especially late in the game.

Mario going back to the run in the second half and simply keeping our defense off the field in the second half as much as possible is what we can do most to win games. That is an element Washington didn't have. Those Oklahoma teams we've been compared to of recent vintage that had good backs and pros on the OL, feel they couldn't lock in and focus on the run and really push a team down the field when needed.

I can enjoy the moment and be objective also. You can't tell me that you think if we played Clemson tomorrow on a neutral site that we would be favored based off what you have seen from both teams. We just let Louisville look like Ohio state or Oregon against us. Louisville is a good team but I doubt they top 40 against anyone else on the schedule. If that doesn't tell you something then you are delusional.

I wasn't talking to you directly and there's no need for name calling, but since you're into labels...

What do you call someone whose belief-system is rooted--to the point of worry--in something that is completely hypothetical and has zero chance of happening in reality?

The schedule complaints against Miami are getting old.

Who has Penn State beat? A 3-4 USC team. WVU who now has a losing record. The win by 7 against Bowling Green? They have one decent win against Illinois which isn’t much better than Va Tech, L’ville, or Florida.
I do not think Oregon or Ohio st are elite. Really good at best. Look out for Indiana they play OSU in a couple weeks and could really shake up the big10.

. Sorry I didn't mean any harm. But I'm just saying I would be worried in a matchup against Clemson at the moment. Things could change. But I wouldn't bet that we bet them if they played tomorrow on a neutral field but I admit I would like to be wrong about that.

How does our secondary talent compare to UVA's, GT's and SMU's? Those three held UL to an avg 18 fewer pts than us. Do they have 18 pt better talent than UM?

I can't explain our very bad defensive play by talent alone.

This is our true opponent every week...

Bypassing the Fletcher in space for a 1st down, to narrowly averting the hold in pass pro and making the splash hole-shot to Restrepo downfield. Cam's aggressiveness can be the the blessing and the curse, but it tends to overshadow how good we can be by just taking what's there on a given play. Our QB doesn't need to be this heroic but it's worked more than it has hurt us, and I give credit to the coaches for walking that line to let the players play their game.

This could end up being a good comp.

Cam reminds me of Patrick mahomes early in his career when he was always looking down field and wasn't really looking at check downs and under neath throws. I love this offense. Love watching it. I can nitpick like I would like more outside runs but the pass game is as deadly as any I have seen in recent memory. Kudos to Cristobal also for letting can do cam and for improving his game day coaching. If our secondary could be average we could make some noise in the playoffs.

The players are aware their performance has been "mid". Let's give them enough grace to develop and enjoy their success.
