We need a change at DC. Sorry but this is inexcusable...

The writing is on the wall. Will Golden do what needs to be done to improve UM football (firing his boy). Or, is our head coach going to permit his personal friendship to interfere with the business (UM football) he is running.

Let's see how good of a coach he is, and how much he truly cares about the team, his career, etc. because there is absolutely no justification for these weekly performances, none.

What did temple fans say about him?

Ive been pretty **** supportive and I still have a lot of faith in Al Golden. I think this team is headed in the right direction, but Im sorry, this Defense is the worst thing I have ever seen. There is simply NO excuse for this. We are playing worse than a Division 1AA team on D.

I get that we are young, and we lost depth and have no leadership, but there is NO excuse for our defense to be almost dead last in Division 1, and we may be dead last after tonight. We cant stop anyone in almost any situation. This is the WORST defense I have ever seen at UM.

I dont care how good a buddy Donofrio is with Golden, no one whose unit is as bad as this should be allowed to keep their job. Our DC and DL coach need to go now. This is simply inexcusable.

+1

I think most were prepared to have a bad defense. We were going to go through some stretches where we looked awful but were also going to have some bright spots.

What we are seeing right now goes so far beyond bad it's not even in the thesaurus.

Fire him now. And he can take Fisch with him. 3 points against KSU, 3 points against ND.

Huh? We're 1-5 without Fisch. How some people can't see that the offense is bright with Fisch at the helm is beyond me.

ND and KState have really good defenses. We aren't there yet. But he did call plays that gave us a chance to score.
And he dropped 40 on every other opponent this season (minus KState)

D'Onofrio also doesn't help him.

Talent/size/strength/depth is contributing to this mess, but we shouldn't be this bad.

D'Olivadotti is putting out some passive schemes and only seems to get aggressive when we're desperate for a stop rather than when we have momentum.

+1. We are constantly passive and reactive. Also, ND had only 1 punt last night. For the love of God, can our D produce a 3 and out?

We did, but Highsmith dropped an INT, and then we had the bad roughing the punter call.

We also forced another punt when they were backed up on the 1. We got the ball at the 35 and did nothing.

Both sides of the ball were awful last night.

Yo forgot Eddie Edwards!! LOL
Azure is talking out of his ***, we have better players than 50% of other school son our D-line. The difference then is coaching. Or in our case, lack thereof.
you cant coach strength and size and thats been our problem this year. we simply arent big enough or strong enough up front this year. ill ask you the same thing, was it a lack of coaching when we had a top 20 scoring defense last year?

Larry Coker also won an MNC here. This is the WORST defense UM has had in over 30 years.

Statistically...this is the worst defense Miami has EVER had.

You gotta realize, those defenses in the 70's had some good players on'em. Don Smith, Don Latimer, Rubin Carter, John Turner, Gary Dunn, Burgess Owens, Mike Barnes...even the late 60's had Hendricks, Tony Cline, Eugene Trosch, Tom Beier.

I'd give a nut to have Don Latimer and Rubin Carter at DT right now. lol

It's talent. Miami's D was 17th in the nation last year with a competant D line.

We just can't be a program that's know for our Defensive stars and nasty defense and then for the past 2 years thought the ******* lollipop kids out there...

I really wish that there was a way, like how the packers do it, that season ticket holders can vote on whether to fire coaches or not and we should be allowed to have like Cane Nation meetings where it's Golden and all the coaches up on stage and were aloud to come and ask questions

I absolutely think Franklin is gone after this season. Unless there is a DRAMATIC turnaround, Golden is going to HAVE to do something.

I dont think some of you cats realize just how BAD this defense is. If not for the offense pulling out some miracles, and the 4-5 turnovers we got against BC, we could be 1-5 right now. The only game we have won solidly was Bethune. Tonight was just astounding. These guys just ran the same play against us, over and over and over again. 375 yards of RUSHING. IN ONE GAME. And its NOT just today. Its been all year. Are you going to tell me that with all the kids we have recruited in the last few years that we should have a worse defense than FIU, Ball State, Toledo, Akron, New Mexico??? We were 114 out of 120 BEFORE tonight. Think about THAT.

The real issue is should this happen in season? I believe it should.

I agree with the need for a new DC. Two years of terrible defense with this amount of talent is inexcusable. Yes it's not the level of bama or lsu talent, but its surely a lot better than bottom 10 talent. This team should not be ranked below the top 50 teams defensively ever.
