Unless you are just really in love with UF and/or DJ Lagway (which is possible on both counts) not sure VB can witness that and voluntarily sign up for it.

Especially knowing Napier has a 26M buyout so he could be given one more year if only to lesson the buyout. Because whoever they hire is going to want 10M a year to fix that mess AND a clear and concise outlined vision of what kind of NIL program UF will provide on a yearly basis to keep them competitive. All this stuff has to be on the table for any coach to take this gig.
Kiffin.

He's far too smart to take that job. At Ole Miss he's making almost as much as Ryan Day with 1/1000 the expectations. He's not as bad a recruiter as many haters claim, but he's not Cristobal. His Ole Miss teams have been pretty much built from the portal- we saw with Mike Norvell how that turns out. That's fine in Oxford, Mississippi where there isn't as much talent as there is in Florida or Georgia. Norvell hasn't recruited Florida well, and Kiffin at UF wouldn't do much better (UF doesn't have the NIL money that UM does). It would basically mean the other two Florida schools are conceding all the top talent in Florida to UM (UGA, OSU, Bama too since they cherry pick Florida). What would compel him to go to his ex-wife's alma mater? A couple more million? Ego? If it's ego, then he just needs to hang out in Ole Miss for a couple more years and he'll have a shot at multiple premier jobs. Decent chance Bama, TAMU, or OSU open up. Guarantee that Bama fans will turn on DeBoer for not being Nick Saban if he drops a couple games that he shouldn't. Kiffin gets to ride in like a white knight. Day is probably going to get canned if OSU doesn't win it all this year, as they went all in and their fanbase already think he's a loser. TAMU is the richest school the country, Kiffin could buy a NFL team every year. UF is not nearly on that level. And legacy? UF's legacy is Aaron Hernandez.

100% Ego. I don't think he wants to follow Saban at Bama for the reasons you stated about expectations, and don't believe he's the right personality for OSU. He has the persona and style of offense that I believe would resonate with that fanbase and attract resources. Everyone can't attend UM and he recruits well-enough to be successful; especially with FSU being trash.

If it’s ego, then he should go back to the NFL. He can succeed where Meyer and Saban couldn’t.
