Pretty sure its been about the player since they started getting recruited. When does it become about the team and not them? Nobody answered my question. Why is it the kids from Jersey, Ohio, etc are on board and doing all they can from up there but so many of these South FL kids cant do the same. Not to take away from guys like Carter and Burns who committed early and stuck by it. Just too many South FL kids doing this to UM
Sorry, I don't jive with your rationale at all. "Doing this to UM". Doing what to UM? These kids are not obligated to the University of Miami and as you will see in the coming weeks after the attrition that we will see on the football roster, the University of Miami is not obligated to them. These kids have the right to make their decision in due time. They have a right to take their trips and see what is out there. Just because there are some exceptions who don't exercise that right, doesn't make the kids who do any more wrong. This decision is SOLELY a decision based on the best interest of the young man. You can cling to those ideologies of team, family, and unity all you want, but the bottom line is that this ain't the world that Michael Irvin, Jerome Brown, and Melvin Bratton grew up in. This is one of the most important business decisions that these dudes will ever make in their lives. They have the right to take every second to maximize their potential as a football player and as a man.
