I'm not blaming the coaches for Jobe leaving. I think the issue was the coaches stayed committed to Jobe for too long.
Kid made it obvious to everyone. They should have been looking for his replacement way before Jobe made it official.
Kid had been telegraphing his move for a while.
You don't drop kids like jobe
It's not like they weren't looking for replacements and just stopped talking to ppl to fill his spot, as soon as jobe showed true signs of leaving they went for Samuel
Keep in mind jobe was probably lying and misleading to our coaches, never even told them he was flipping
Although true, a good contingent of us saw what Jobe was about since February of last year. If you have a solid portion of the fanbase that can read the kid, but you as a staff member who talks directly to the kid can't read the situation, then that's bad.
There are soo many assumptions on this board. Do you think for 1 second that the coaching staff has less information about kids than the porsters on this board?
As others have said you don't drop ppl like Jobe. You fight until the end whatever it takes whatever resources you have at your disposal you go all in. And sometimes you lose. It doesn't mean the staff was sitting around saying "he's still a lock" just because they pulled out all the stops. And honestly had they not i'm sure you and other porsters would have said "man we just gave up on Jobe. I knew he wasn't coming but the staff just let him walk they are soft."
Since I've said this about a thousand times during the Jobe fiasco, I'll say it again.
The staff couldn't afford to drop Jobe.
1. It looks bad on them considering it seems like schools outside of Miami can do kids dirty. If Miami does it though, everyone revolts and tries to black ball Miami. We always have our hands tied with the locals
2. Jobe's an elite talent, you still shoot your shot.
My problem was them not having backup options lined up accordingly to the 11th hour. Again, you keep throwing out assumptions. I literally called this on February 3rd (@Liberty City El) brought up the post of mine when Jobe flipped to Bama. It was all in the tea leaves (constantly talking about business decisions, saying Miami's home and whatever, constantly tweeting out Bama stuff, etc...).
