Stanford Samuels was a 2017 FSU legacy recruit, if you're gonna at least get your facts in order

He probably meant Asante Samuels jr.

I don't know who Pete's source is but a Heritage coach told me something completely different about Campbell. He also said don't be surprised if we get Surtain.

We are getting dangerous close to that tipping point. For recruits we lose there are 8 different threads and one that hits 100 pages! Now for guys we win, we are about to that point. Let's see how it works out.

Well, if they called Asante, "Stanford" you might be on to something.

Now that I/we know Surtain and Chatfield are very close, I'd be curious to know how important it is for them to play together.

If they really want to play together then that leaves Miami and LSU. (Chatfield doesn't have a Bama offer)

And if what my buddy says is true, then Surtain ain't thrilled about LSU.
And if they do want to play together, and Surtain is supposedly going to LSU, why wouldn't Chatfield be going there as well? (instead of being solid to Miami)
Macho, dude, buddy, you're trying to apply logic to recruiting. Especially UM recruiting. Don't do it. Not how it works for us.

I am not sold on Chatman, I would prefer we go after bigger bodies at DT he will need a few years to develop and we need players that can contribute a few snaps next fall. I like Daniel Carson and Jordan davis as better options.

Go Canes

We just need to get one of TC or PS2. I’ve been thinking we might have a better shot with PS2 for a bit now. Visited for bowl practice. Visited for the game tonight. Maybe he’s concerned about the direction of LSU under Orgeron. If he spurns LSU, Bama is probably the spot, but maybe just maybe we get lucky. Anything can happen if we can get either of them to OV.

We don’t need either of them , but star whores may think differently . Personally I never saw either one of them coming to Miami . Even with the confidence in Campbell coming from posters Surtain let’s be real , isn’t and never was

I did, posted that in the wee hours of the morning drunk as ****

Maybe we hired the wrong coach from American Heritage :monkey-serious:

**** that, Rumph is a Cane through and through. Guy is a national champion on the best CFB team of all time. Turned Folden JAGS into all conference dudes. Very well could pull two 5 star DBs next class. Brought in 3 very solid studs at DB this class. Rumph is a very good young coach. Can't sell a kid on something he doesn't want...for goodness sake, kids go against their parents all the time, choose universities that run counter to what mom and dad want...

Mike Rumph being a former player is so irrelevant. If he cannot land Tyson Campbell how can we ever expect him to pull an elite CB? There will never be such a elite recruit with so many built in advantages like this for Rumph again. Coached him since knee-highs...

Our class is solid right now, but who has Rumph gotten to UM that wasn't already coming here? Frierson & Blades? C'mon man. His first year he lost our top CB to a used car salesmen in Knoxville. I wont even bring up last year when we queffed.

There is no doubt he is a great technical coach, but that isn't all he is getting paid for. The 3 consensus top corner backs in our backyard are on the verge of heading to the SEC.

People on here talk about being elite and on top of college football, then we have to close on the alphas. And Jesus Christ 2 of those game changers are his former players.

I don't care about his playing career, I can value that and still realize he needs to do his job recruiting. Some of you should do the same. If he cannot fulfill his role we need to find someone else who can. Just like in real life! He shoudn't get a free pass just because he was once a great player for us. This doesn't mean I hate Rumph, I want to WIN.

That being said he better head to Cabelas get a tent & camp out at TC & PS2's houses these next few weeks. I hope he closes on at least 1 of PS2 & TC.

We will have a very good football team in the future, but in order to be a elite football team we will have to land the "Tyson Campbell's". I think the days of losing to Duke and Carolina consistently are over, but to get to the big dance and win. We'll need to land the guys like Campbell.

It’s an elite class period we signed a class with 70% blue chippers and that includes taking a kicker and fullback who are rated low. If you exclude them then 78% of the class are blue chip players(4 star or higher) which is an elite ratio period with a chance to grow down the stretch.

Frierson was not the lock people try and say he always was period, he was close to flipping to uga this fall and people forget but James coley coached his brother so he has a close relationship with that family regardless of frierson’s ties to gore/miami. It was a legitimate win by the staff recruiting him period Banda AND Rumph....

Edwards, Henderson, Wilson, Surtain, Jobe, Samuels, Campbell....

South Florida CBs have been absolutely pillaged under Richt/Rumph.

That HAS to change for us to get where we need to be.

It actually started with Byrd. He obviously hasn't lived up to the hype. But Rumph lost that battle and hasn't stopped collecting L's since.

Our two highest rated corner commits are legacys, they were committed from birth.

Even Dean had to be convinced by Colbert that the U would develop him, he was 50/50 going to ASU and he's a Miami kid.

Rumph can't recruit.

The proof is there hes our weak link str8 up. Banda is a savage i hope MR eventually has balls to make changes.

Banda has missed too. He missed edwards and davis last cycle. Jobe this year.

This only happens to us i can only sit here n laugh. **** is crazy

You are overreacting...and its annoying as ****. You aren't the only one, but come the fvck on fellas. Dayum...step out your feelings for a minute here and use your head.

The #1 player in Ohio is named Jackson Carman, an OT that I'm sure Ohio State didn't want. He is signed with Clemson.
The #2 player in South Carolina is the 2nd rated ILB in the nation, Channing Tindall. Clemson signed 0 LBs last year. I'm sure they didn't want this kid. He is probably headed to Georgia, doesn't have Clemson in his top 3.
5 star safety Jaiden Woodbey from Cali is headed to FSU.
Josh Proctor, #2 player in OK, is headed to Ohio State.
The top kid from Michigan is going to Kentucky...Kentucky!

That's just this year. It took me a couple minutes to look this up on 247. You guys need to stop overreacting. You typically keep a cool head DW...that's why I'm quoting you instead of these other sheep.

Lo Lingaawwd is higher rated than Ty...just for reference.

Im not saying its not an elite class, but we cant be content with letting the best 2 corner prospects leave for the SEC.
Last year at this time people were saying dont worry next year is loaded at DB & guess said people are saying it again!

Im not smart enough to know what has to change, thats why our coaches get paid the big bucks.

The point is people need to get out of their feelings about Rumph & be objective. If he cannot get the job done recruiting we need to attempt to find someone that will. Or this pattern will most likely continue.
