Danny Diamond doesn't ring a bell, but I knew a Diamond Dave Bell that was a male stripper who dated a smoking hot Latino named Michelle that dance at Temptations on 66th street back when Billy, Keith & Jimmy McSheehy owned the place. I also know another Diamond Dave that was a DJ that worked at Tattletails on Gulf to Bay and then worked **** near 2 decades for Billy at the Doll House. @SWFLHurricane

Not very convenient for Miami's situation anyway. We need someone to either be here for 2-3 years or build a foundation and install and offense that can be replicated and carried on into the future. Similar to Saban hiring Kiffin.

This is the main reason I don’t want Coley on the stuff. The next OC will implement a system and if it is successful. The OC will move on and Coley would be there to run the system as the next OC.

Roman and Martin. Neither have coached QBs since the early 2000s. Roman is mainly a TE Coach/Run Game Coordinator and Martin is a WR coach

It's easier to vet NFL candidates because teams aren't holding guys back from "promotions" to OC even in college and you have connects in guys like Zo who knows everyone. Mario is also tight with Darren Rizzi and Dennis Allen from the Saints, McVay, and others at that level. It's a lot easier to vet and get feedback on those guys.

I'd be surprised if the OC isn't in that mold: Joe Brady, Dan Pitcher, Shea Tierney, Rob Calabrese, Drew Petzing, Parks Frazier, David Girardi, Bo Hardegree, Kevin Patullo, Brian Johnson, Andrew Janocko, Chris O'Hara, TJ Yates, Ronald Curry, Cam Turner, Spencer Whipple, Jake Peetz - only a few of those guys have legit reasons to hold up any longer because they're still playing.. some still in the conversation for NFL OC jobs. Could be another reason.

Also wouldn't be surprised to maybe pivot to seasoned NFL vets that aren't coordinating an offense right now similar to Georgia hiring Monken - Greg Roman, Freddie Kitchens, Darrell Bevell, Mike McCoy, Jay Gruden, Greg Olson, etc. - doubt many/if any of them would go for it aside from maybe Freddie Kitchens who is on staff at USCjr

I’m of this opinion too and think that it might be Tierney that he is waiting on.

He overlapped with Mario at Bama and they share the Daboll connection. If Kafka takes the Arizona or Indy HC job, Tierney is the logical successor as Giants OC. Or if Kafka gets hired away he may bring Tierney as his OC.

But if Kafka stays with NYG, Tierney could be in play.

BOOM.....You know I know Billy, Keith and Jimmy....I was Executive Sous Chef at Campanella's on 66th Ave N in 84...and 86-87...I was in Miami in 85. If Diamond Dave is Dave Fox...I'm still friends with him. He was a DJ/Manager at Temptations and Heavenly Bodies. I was ALWAYS treated like VIP at Temptations by Keith & his brothers. I'm talking Bottles of Champagne sent to my table. I used to Comp them meals at Campanella's. I was also real close to Heavenly Bodies owner Scott McGregor...and was treated accordingly by his staff. I know you remember Jerry's Rock and Disco....I was SUPER Close to the entire family, most notably Jerry Sachs. I NEVER paid for a Drink there. I had Gobs of Jerry's Rock & Disco Money (you remember) I used to party with the Band Stranger there, and at the 49th St Mining Company. Also partied with the Lead singer of Molly Hatchet (Danny Joe Brown) all the time.

Nothing like being in February and potentially being held hostage by the Arizona Cardinals/NY Giants and Mike Kafka all for the chance to hire someone who has never called plays before.

…mainly sure. But he can still do it. Regardless you can still just hire Coley as QB coach and have Roman coaching TEs or whatever… move Field to RB coach in that scenario…
