This is really getting ridiculous. Mario is completely overthinking this. I'm married to a Cuban and was saying how it's taking so **** long. She said it makes perfect sense because we (Cubans) overanalyze a lot of things. I'm Italian and we tend to just go head-on and worry about what happens later. I’ll bite…I haven’t been clamoring, but he played CB at both the college and NFL level. I’m sure he could pass down relevant knowledge to HS kids.

I’ve seen guys that were hired as a position coach who never played the position, but were knowledgeable.

he doesn't command respect TBH, he's too mild mannered, he doesn't have the gravitas. the few practices i went to when he was coaching he was very passive and meek. and there are stories told by others here about players disrespecting him.

Yost made $353K last year at FIU. He was also available last year if Mario wanted to go in that direction. Doesn't look like he coached in 2021 after being fired by TT in December 2020. His offenses were impressive at Missouri and Utah State, though, so it's weird he didn't coach in 2021. Anyone know the story there?

It feels like last year when we ended up with Gattis. I thought it was indecisive thoroughness but eventually I realized it was more likely that he was whiffing on his top choices.
