Turnover is fine. You don't keep ****** coordinators like Gattis around for the sake of "continuity". It has become a negative because Mario seems to drag it out and make it more difficult than it needs to be.
That's a fair criticism but at the end of the day if, IF, the new OC (and to a lesser extent DC) will be successful nobody will remember the timing.

Until said OC will become an HC at another school and the "process" will return LOL.

agreed on that but you expect a successful coordinator to stay 2-3 years tops before landing a new gig or getting an HC gig (riley spent a single year at Tcu before going to Clemson and 3 total years w Dykes?). this cant be the process every time

this isn’t Mario being thorough. he’s whiffing. we knew Gattis was a potential candidate shortly after Mario was hired. took two months for him to make it that far down the list.

One coach was fired and one is leaving for a better job, no need to be shocked because it happens to everyone. Maybe we will have another departure or two, who knows? We will have an OC and a DC for Spring football and the majority of people will not like either of them.

Having said that, the timing of Mario's process bothers me, especially for the OC knowing that Gattis was gone since November.
Yea. The way this thing is seemingly playing out, is odd..... Was Mario planning on keeping Gattis? I know that @Cribby and the other insiders, said that he was out... way back when (like Oct-Nov.), but if that was the case, then why didn't he start his hunt for a replacement back then as opposed to a couple weeks ago? Was it just for appearances? He could have back channeled this whole thing, ended up in the same place and would have had his guy in place as soon as Gattis was pulling outta Hecht.

I think what's discouraging most of us now is that we gave Mario's snail-paced searches the benefit of the doubt last time, and ended up with Gattis. If, after all the vetting and thoroughness and fretting we still end up with a dud, it becomes much harder for fans to "trust the process".

Don't know what's going on. Seems like either nobody wants to coach under him...or they didn't fit his criteria. Nice time for this BS to happen, one month from Spring Practice...
Brutal. I wonder if there is any precedent to spring practice occurring without one of the coordinators....I'm mostly joking. Even he was able to hire coordinators in Oregon so I don't really understand what could have changed in his process between then and now. Maybe this would be what finally causes Mario to look in the mirror. It's pretty embarrassing at this point.

That, my friend, I don't know.

I dont know much about the mechanics of football, but I do know good management, and paralysis by analysis aint good.
It's disconcerting. It's generally accepted that Mario is not a great gameday coach. His strength is supposed to be recruiting and ability to run a program, i.e., he's supposed to be the "CEO type". A year in to his tenure here he's failed at pretty much everything except recruiting. I hope he can learn from his mistakes because he's not going anywhere for a while.
