Not my top choice but if Dabo had played Cade from day 1 Clemson is in the CFP and Streeter is very well still employed by Clemson. DJ and his inconsistent to flat bad play last year killed that team.

dabo brought streeter up. he would have kept him if he felt DJ U was the reason why. Dabo only needed a year of streeter as the main guy (he was on staff under dabo for years before) to know hes not it.

He gutted him quick. Some guys are good position coaches but not everyone picks up play calling. Just look at coley. He was really good at game planning and scripting plays but had no feel for calling plays live.

Richt’s Georgia teams sh*t on anything Folden ever managed to drum in his tenure here.

His recruiting & evals failed at Miami because he was at the end of the road & was walking towards retirement drizzling out with his health failing him, but the body of work of what he built at UGA cannot be overlooked or denied simply because of his 3 years at Miami.

Not denying the body of work at UGA. He recruited exceptionally well but it didn't translate to conference championships. Having all those resources and amazing classes but not winning the conference since 2005 was hard to reconcile. There were a few of us who didn't like the idea of hiring a coach who had just been fired due to mediocrity and who was planning to retire or at the very least sit out a couple years to recharge his batteries. Moreover, my concern at the time was that UM didn't have nearly the resources or the bag game that UGA did, so what he accomplished recruiting wise at UGA (with virtually infinite bags) wasn't a good barometer for what he'd achieve at Miami. Golden had to recruit and evaluate differently at a small school, and it turned out to be a more successful strategy for UM than Richt's. You know as well as I do that most of the 10 win 2017 team were Golden recruits. Even though Richt wins on paper with class rank, the teams he left behind were bereft of talent- part of the reason we are where we are is that Diaz wasn't good enough at recruiting (or coaching) to dig himself out of the recruiting hole that he played a part in digging with Richt.

Lake insinuated that more candidates have interviewed but he isn't at liberty to disclose who they are. Perhaps Streeter, Dawson and Coley's names are being leaked strategically and the eventual guy is going to come out of left field like Guidry did.

Interesting. So Streeter is the wet fart? I'm not sure that I agree. DJU was an unmitigated disaster and their offense was still in the top quadrant nationally according to most analytics. Outside of Shipley, they didn't have a ton at the skill positions compared to what they usually have at those spots. His QB recruiting also speaks for itself.

He'll get dinged by most casuals because he was let go, but Dabo swung big and landed Riley, but it's not like what he put out last year was by any means 'firable.'

Also shocked to hear that Arroyo has never been in play.

Dudes in here say he and Mario have the same agent.
If that’s true then Mario knows 100 wether he wants the job or not and also has the green light to put his name out there 2 years in a row.

The issue imo is a distraction for who?

He got Gattis after the cfb season was over.
The only season left is Sunday.
If nobody on either of those 2 team’s staffs gets announced then there is definitely a problem getting an OC. I don’t see a reason why announcing a college coach would be taking this long or a reason to keep it quiet for this long.

So I’m guessing B Johnson.
That’s as far as my mind is willing to do mental Gymnastics. I’ll leave the real gymnastics to my daughter.
