Those were talented teams. For all the Richt "super recruiter" and "program builder" hype, Golden was actually a better recruiter and talent evaluator. And that was while the ncaa was trying to castrate the program.

Strange how Canes fans were obsessed with getting a super recruiter as HC when Richt got hired , but turns out that a guy who didn't have that reputation managed to do it better.

But you still need a super recruiter to be an elite program. There are no exceptions to that.

Richt just wasn’t the super recruiter we hoped for. But wanting the thing that’s required to be elite, isn’t strange.

Not accurate.

Richt’s Georgia teams sh*t on anything Folden ever managed to drum in his tenure here.

His recruiting & evals failed at Miami because he was at the end of the road & was walking towards retirement drizzling out with his health failing him, but the body of work of what he built at UGA cannot be overlooked or denied simply because of his 3 years at Miami.

I've said many times on CIS, if Al could've just moved past his Davidian-branch-cult-like fealty to Donuts, he had the potential to eventually turn things around here.

Not unlike Area 51 and the Bermuda Triangle, it's one of the planet's great mysteries.

Streeter as QB coach, perhaps. Don't care what praise Lawrence heaps, the guy was fired by his alma mater after a season as OC.
that doesn't work bc then your OC needs to corch the WRs, which i don´t like, or you have to remove one of Mirabal, Field or Smith

Yikes, this is completely underwhelming. Sure am glad to hear Mario is close to finishing up interviews. If he's still chatting, then he misfired on some of his early candidates.
Haven't heard mention of Collin Klein lately, but if these are the finalists he should be on Mario's interview list. ****, throw a couple mill at Kliff Kingsbury and convince him to rebuild the resume in college vs NFL. Just amazed the "interview process'' has dragged on and we're talking marginal characters.
Kliff is going to Houston as OC. he is never coming back to college

And with a stacked roster. Would take as a QB Coach but **** no as OC.
Clemson doesn't have a stacked roster where it matters. DJ U stinks and they haven't had good outside WR play since Higgins and Ross. They've gotten stale and change was needed. But that is more a product of the the previous couple years than it was Streeter. Somebody had to go. If Elliott hadn't taken the UVA job he would've been the one fired this year.
