I just want it add (stroke?) he doesn’t have any other names he just saying that so it seems like he knows more than he does .
Are you questioning the journalistic integrity of Davidson Lake?

Rule #1: Don't burn your sauces
Rule #2: When in doubt, mumble

There actually is , you have to be worth your salt as an evaluator of coaching talent. Even if it’s a young up and comer on a lower level. There’s talent out there.

Absolutely. And Mario has been a pretty decent evaluator of coaching talent in the past, before the missteps of the past year.

Just because some of these names are interviewing doesn’t mean it’s for play caller.
Begs the question - if one of the big issues with Gattis and Co. was staff cohesion, and we're currently interviewing position coaches, does that mean the playcaller has been hired (or at least chosen)?

I F@CKING GOT THE CLUE.

having slept on this last night, i have come to the conclusion that it is likely a troll job. there are plenty of lay people in South Florida that follow Dennis Smith that also know Brian Johnson and therefore the clue appears to be too obvious, unlike the clue for Guidry which was very niche and not easily understandable. can it happen? sure. but my instinct is that it is too obvious especially on the heels of the Guidry clue.

if it is Johnson, we will know Monday or Tuesday at the latest!

i personally would like to see Dawson. i think the D would be distracted enough were she could put up points easily. plus, its innovative, which we desperately need.

I agree there is talent out there but how many would be considered Top tier OC candidates like a Garrett Riley, Phil Longo, Brian Johnson, Jeff Lebby and etc?

Look, I agree with you, it's just funny to see Gaby finally admit to it.

And I think Mario is wasting his time on counter-intel operations.

Stop yanking on the paid media's puppet strings and just hire a guy like Johns, and then we can all act like the last couple of months never happened.

F David Lake like he is leaking any real info

If anything it’s bad Intel on purpose from Miami

I say this (half) jokingly, but I'm beginning to think that Mario is now copying Hollywood casting agents by having "chemistry tests" with all of his candidates. You know, he brings in each OC candidate and then has him "read lines" with all the QB coach candidates and all the WR coach candidates. We should soon have a full combination/permutation grid chart of how every OC and every QBC and every WR coach did when combined in the same room.

Just admit it, my theory is just as likely to explain the delay as any other theories that have been floated.

That was my thought

last year we hired position coaches before a play caller.

Did you seriously just ask that question? Go back, re-read it, and then decide whether you really want to ask that question again.

Scott was fired as OC doesn’t mean he’s not good enough to be a solid position coach…

Correct. A lot of people forget you can be really good at one job, but not another. A lot of outstanding coordinators that are not head coach material. A lot of outstanding position coaches that are not coordinator material (though some are actually better HC material). The reason guys are given an opportunity at a promotion is because they were good at their last job.
