That's Mario's #1 problem. Even at Missouri Yost's rushing Attack led the Big12 in rushing every yr, aside from the passing Attack. Very well balanced everywhere he's been. Our Slot receivers would have a field day with him at the Helm...So would TVD....But whatever. In the meantime we have no OC....and the Great Hires have already said, Thanks, but No Thanks, as we're weeks away from Spring Practice. And the people in here who have been saying that's no big deal, it's actually a huge deal.

It's now obvious.

Names floated by the paid media fall into two categories.

Smokescreen names that Mario pushed out to the paid media. And "about to be hired in five minutes" names.

When Candle's name popped up here from guys like @Cribby...it's because he has different sources from the paid media. And eventually the paid media started reporting what we have talked about on this board.

Mario is having conversations with lots of people, not all those conversations are job interviews. Mario is interviewing for multiple jobs.

But clearly...it is now pretty much admitted/acknowledged by Gaby...he prints whatever names Mario says it's OK to print...
 
Not sure this has been posted ITT, but Ferman dropped Hankerson's name for WR coach last night, saying something to the effect of "having a great shot at the WR coach position." Just passing along.

"Yeah, give me someone that has already done it on this level and done it well, CONSISTENTLY. Is that too much to ask?"


Every hire is a risk. Dude is 35. His best days are ahead of him. Calculated risks.

Doug Nussmier smoke is dying

He doesn't like timeline but thinks we should hear something by Monday/Tuesday

There were other candidates who interviewed he didn't get the greenlight to mention and he sure there are names he doesn't know about.

So Candle and Nussmeier confirmed on staff, Streeter, Coley, Dawson not coming. Got it.

I think Hankerson would be a wonderful hire. Kid went out and busted his *** to get better while he was here training away from the program with Mark Duper. It was ridiculous he had to do that. He couldn't catch **** when he started here. Love to see him back at the U.

He prints names that "Mario" says it's okay to print??...What is Mario, the Godfather??...JFC....What Mario Corleone says is okay to print, or else....

Yeah man, that's why when Littrell's name dropped yesterday, I thought it was going to be him. Other than fans naming him, it was really the first time we heard his name from the media and came in a similar fashion to Guidrey's name. But seems too much time has passed and he's just another name that Mario talked to or made up speculation.
