The Meathead Did It Again

If it works out this way and was a wake up call and suddenly stuff starts clicking… great. We’re going into a bye and they can use it to fix things and let the loss marinate and get ****ed off. It could play out like that.

Maybe it does for the offense but I’m 1000% convinced there’s absolutely nothing you can do for the defense.

I was hopeful, a unit with seniors and on the cusp of drafted players, would see what was happening this season and rise to the occasion. At least get some "lets get your job done done" type football from old-enough-to-play-in-the-NFL types on defense.

What player doesn't know its lock-in time when you're team is 9-0 and you've been flying close to the sun?

At some point get their heads out of their *** as there is enough on defense to do that.

To see the unit perpetually confused by concepts anyone who plays CFB25 or Madden understands and would be able to identify is perplexing. Entire units at all three levels of defense that react well after a player crosses their face. The safeties are constantly cheating. I don't know the playcall or the pre-snap stuff they coach there, but I know a DB is cheating when I see it this obvious. They are slow, and put themselves out of position all year and the angles they take can't possibly be taught by these professionals...but perhaps it is because they certainly aren't correcting this when they get on the field. Harris and Powell might as well stand still.

Id wager we have to play Kiko in uncomfortable positions because of the safeties. There is no way we should be this empty in the middle of the field on obvious run situations. Kiko coming downhill...I've seen it before...its not this bad, as a matter of fact him coming downhill is what gets him into the NFL. But this year, he's out there trying to chase people...many times because he's out of position pre-snap because no one's moving when someone is in motion passing their face.

Rant over...but I agree...yeah, these boys are hopeless right now.

Doesn't help the DL is a bunch of nothing right now and can't fill their lanes and the edge boys are getting cement footed by Broken Haynes King smh.

Does anyone have the clip of Mario running running down the sideline to call timeout coming out of the 2minute time out?

We are just so unprepared as a team it’s ridiculous, did a possible fake ever cross anyone’s mind?
Who the F is the ST coach, don’t tell me Smith. I don’t even think he goes to the games.
I was at the game they only had 10 guys on the field. They ran Zaquan off when he was actually supposed to be out there that’s what made them call the timeout. Mario dug into the ST coach is and made him count the players like over and over after the timeout lol

Google how many ***** I’m supposed to give *******
You've asked a few times...so I assume Google doesn't give you a good answer.

I ChatGPT'd it for you.

Here is what our future AI overlords had to say about you giving a ****.

"Sounds like you're dealing with some frustration! If you're asking how many “*****” to give about something, it’s totally up to you. Sometimes it helps to think about whether it’s really worth your energy. If it’s something that doesn’t impact your life or well-being, maybe giving fewer "*****" is the move. But if it’s something important to you, maybe it’s worth giving a little more attention. How’s it all going down?"

Bottom line: we went all in on Mario because he was supposed to stock our roster with elite talent. He’s failed in that regard, despite an incredible commitment of resources from both the school and its boosters.

We already knew he couldn’t coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

Cam Ward is his Jordan Travis.
And Mario's year 4 is most likely going to sink him, like Norvells current year without Travis is.

The team was not ready to play today. Offense was sleepwalking for most of the game.

Mario let Key bend him over again. No pride or preparation. After losing that game last year to these jabronies, this was the game that we needed to come out with our hair on fire. Instead, we looked lost and confused for most of the game.

Not kicking at least 2 field goals and an extra point cost us the game, and the wasted TO was a killer. How are you not ready out of a GT timeout for a possible fake punt? Specially against a team that traditionally throws the kitchen sink at us.

Cam missed seeing open WR’s down the field repeatedly, and held the ball way too long. At some point you have to tell him as the head coach to take the check down.

Guidry needed to be fired yesterday. Terrible job once again. 6 games in a row where our D can’t get pressure on the opposing QB, can’t tackle, can’t cover, and have busted coverages galore.

Dawson isn’t exempt either. We wasted so many downs on good drives with stupid WR screen calls that would go for almost no yards.

Mario is always good for 1 or 2 bad losses. It never fails.

My final verdict on Mario is now in. If he can’t win with this QB, he will NEVER win a natty.

Now the countdown begins to the next 5 or 6 years, when we will hopefully be able to replace him.
Classic overreaction. Miami has flaws, every team in America have flaws. This wont be Marios best team at Miami.

Who else could call plays? The most experienced option has HS DC experience and his unit is arguably the most disappointing when you consider the talent and expectations on the DL and how irrelevant they are on Saturdays
There are a lot of high school DCs I'd take over Guidry but i get what you're saying. I think the constant stunting and ****b scheme is messing up the d-line more than anything so i put most of that on Guidry as well.

why Do people say this **** all the time?

That’s not how it works. Like ever.
"Miami should have kicked" crowd - let's play this out:
- Two "makeable" field goals = 6 points
- Regular PAT instead of failed 2pt = 1 point
Total "points left on field" = 7 points

28-23 plus these 7 "guaranteed" points would make it 30-28 Miami win, right?

Except... that's not how football works. If Miami kicks even the first field goal, the ENTIRE rest of the game plays out differently. Miami makes the first field goal, there’s a kickoff next, not gt getting the ball on downs. Maybe they run it back, maybe they fumble, maybe they…

Miami could have missed it, etc. literally every subsequent play changes - good or bad.

That doesn’t take away from fact Miami coached **** and played like **** - not arguing there

But that argument on 7 points as if the game plays out exactly the same is one of the most frequent logic defying arguments fans, announcers and coaches often make in terms of being that specific. For all we know score by trying what you said on the very first field goal decision could have made things better but it could have played out worse

This is why marvel has the multiverse tbh

Signs of a DC that knows they can’t win 1v1 and need to create confusion to get pressure.

I’d probably clean slate the defensive staff except for Nicholson and Chevis. Disappointed on LB play too but he recruits top notch. Salave’a has long overstayed his welcome and I’m just not seeing it with JT. Every DE we recruit outside of Bain looks like him - thin and wiry. That’s not going to solve our problem trying to set an edge. Not to mention the vast regression from last year to this year and even from week 1-6 to now.

This loss is on Ward countless missed opportunities. He's high risk, high reward. We were losing to VT and Cal in part because of his decision making those games. As bad as the D has been, Cam has also put them in awful spots. He is too football arrogant at times. The same thing that makes you love him also makes you pull your hair out. He needs to learn how to reel it in a bit. Once he does he'll reach an even greater level.

If it weren’t for “ liberal tears “ on Town Hall I’m not sure I could’ve handled this loss any better.

Yep and when coach L loses a game we’ll fire him also , oh and ladies BB fire her also when she loses

Oh and new baseball coach he’s due being a recent hire .
Mario does less with more - he has not done any better than Golden, Radio, Manny, and Richt and has NIL, more resources for coaches, facilities, etc - biggest fraud in the history of this program.

Okay, but they were reviving a punt. I believe you can play with 10 players, it’s not like we had a chance in **** to return a punt for a touchdown.
My opinion it was another waste of a timeout and possibly could have cost us at the end if we were driving for the winning score.
