I can agree to a certain extent. Especially defensively. I just think if Cam hit on those same throws he missed. It's easily a different outcome and we're not even thinking of pointing a finger at Mario. Dawson I can still understand .

Cribby, what do you attribute the defense and Guidry’s huge regression to?

Going back to 2023, Guidry’s first half plans are very consistently exploited, and in 2024, I’m seeing less 2H adjustments.

The way our DE’s and DL played yesterday was a huge concern.

I get that we don’t have a 5 star loaded defense, but a lot of our problems seem coaching related. GaTech DC put on a masterclass with less talented guys

Bottom line: we went all in on Mario because he was supposed to stock our roster with elite talent. He’s failed in that regard, despite an incredible commitment of resources from both the school and its boosters.

We already knew he couldn’t coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

The team was not ready to play today. Offense was sleepwalking for most of the game.

Mario let Key bend him over again. No pride or preparation. After losing that game last year to these jabronies, this was the game that we needed to come out with our hair on fire. Instead, we looked lost and confused for most of the game.

Not kicking at least 2 field goals and an extra point cost us the game, and the wasted TO was a killer. How are you not ready out of a GT timeout for a possible fake punt? Specially against a team that traditionally throws the kitchen sink at us.

Cam missed seeing open WR’s down the field repeatedly, and held the ball way too long. At some point you have to tell him as the head coach to take the check down.

Guidry needed to be fired yesterday. Terrible job once again. 6 games in a row where our D can’t get pressure on the opposing QB, can’t tackle, can’t cover, and have busted coverages galore.

Dawson isn’t exempt either. We wasted so many downs on good drives with stupid WR screen calls that would go for almost no yards.

Mario is always good for 1 or 2 bad losses. It never fails.

My final verdict on Mario is now in. If he can’t win with this QB, he will NEVER win a natty.

Now the countdown begins to the next 5 or 6 years, when we will hopefully be able to replace him.

Mario has made a lot of head scratching game day decisions while HC here, but I am good with being aggressive on 4th downs with Cam Ward at QB and our putrid defense. I am not going to complain about that. I hope we remain aggressive.

I hope we make wiser decisions with less emotional involvement, objective judgments rather than impulsive erratic choices.

I would like to see different running plays. I would like to see outside runs with some of our faster backs. That would help drives stay alive and take pressure off the passing game.

Losing this game does not impact winning a national title if they still win the ACC.

Sometimes you follow the analytics, and it doesn't work out. This was one of those times. Going for the touchdowns and on the 4th downs were the right calls. Just didn't work out.

I'm not a huge Mario fan, but that change if he wins big. Lol. That's how it works around here. It's hard to run the table on the road in conference. Very hard. Need to put this loss behind them asap.

When you’re 9-0 with the heisman front runner, top offense in country and your remaining 3 opponents had a combined record of 15-10 coming into the weekend it’s a pretty reasonable goal if you’re a top 10 team.

I get that it’s reasonable but it was never probable seeing how terrible the defense has looked. Better that it happened now so they can hopefully play with a lot more urgency and focus. We can still win the ACC and make the playoffs mainly because we still have Cam Ward but we have fans melting down, quitting on the season, and comparing it to 2017 already because we’re not going undefeated lol
