The high and mighty sec

This is why you don't argue with emotions. Your logic makes no sense. When you place a bunch of conference games. Teams are going to have a lot of losses. Even good teams. Its impossible to have the whole conf with in conf winning records. So basically your logic is Auburn is one of the worst SEC teams. Ok. That would mean that the SEC is by far the best conf.

Using game results to analyze a team is about the least emotional thing you can do.

Auburn is a middle of the pack SEC team. Their record proves this. No one made the argument that they are one of the worst SEC teams.

Any team that finishes 6-7 and loses to Houston, Penn State, and South Carolina isn't winning any Power 5 conference.

They would win the ACC. Penn St. would probably win the ACC as well.

You are making my point for me. Auburn, which would probably be the best ACC team this year, is just a middle of the road SEC team. Which shows how elite the SEC is.

What exactly is it about Auburn that makes you think they would win the ACC? Go through their games against Texas A&M, South Carolina, and Houston and tell me how that team keeps up with Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, or Clemson.

Gtfoh with this bull... the sec ain't ****. The acc sucks too, so that's like saying any team could win it

Do you know that computer rankings are, by definition, unbiased and unemotional? Based on this year's results, Auburn would be fifth in the SEC behind Clemson, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and NC State.

I watched most of those games. The only team that has the talent to keep up with Auburn in the ACC is Clemson. If DJ has a good game against Auburn I think Clemson wins. Otherwise I am taking Auburn.

Now I will ask you. If the SEC sucks. Who is the best conference?

Wait, that's it? If they have so much talent why can't they move the football? South Carolina???? Houston?????

You're arguing the wrong thing. Everyone has acknowledged that Alabama and Georgia make the SEC the best conference. What we're arguing against is nonsense like "Auburn would win the ACC".

Because SC has a ton of talent. they have more talent than the entire ACC besides Miami, Clemson and UNC. Houston is a terrible example and you know it. Auburn had numerous opt outs where as Houston players treated this game like its their super bowl. Did you watch the game? Dana was literally talking about how "if they win this game it puts them on par with the 2 other "legendary" houston teams that beat P5 teams in bowls. Regular season Auburn beats Houston.

The SEC is clearly the top conference. The top 6 programs in the SEC (AL, LSU, UF, UGA, AU & TAMU) would compete for the conference championship in any conference just about every year. However, beyond those 6 the SEC is full of mediocre programs just like every other conference. The reason threads like this exist is that every year the national media and SEC fans hype those mediocre programs as if they could compete in any other conference. The fact is that Mississippi, MissSt, Arkansas, SCar, Kentucky and even Tennessee are nobodies. The rest are not even worth mention. Each of those programs will have a good season or two each decade and SEC fans will use that as evidence that the SEC is exceptionally strong top to bottom. Take 2014 MissSt for example. They were at one point ranked #1. They finished with 3 losses and got blown out by GTech in the Orange Bowl...and no that GT team was not very good. They lost to 6-7 UNC and Duke. This season, the SEC has been about as mediocre as it's been in the past 20 years. Half of the top 6 programs I listed earlier were just not very good in 2021, which is why Kentucky and Arkansas were able to sneak into Jan 1 bowls. E$ECSPN, Athlon, Rivals and all the SEC homers will exploit those two "ranked" teams to once again argue that "It just means more" in the SEC. They will, as they do every year, ignore or excuse Kentucky's losses to 5 loss Tennessee and 6 loss MissSt and their nailbiter against Chatanooga, because beating 6-7 Missouri, 6-6 SCar, 6-7 UF, 6-6 LSU and Vandy outweighs those somehow. Again, I'm not arguing that the SEC is not the premier conference. I am arguing however that half the programs in the Coastal, which is widely regarded as a dumpster fire are no less deserving of a top 25 ranking than those also-rans in any given season but because of the SEC bias, Arkansas can lose 4 games and remain in the top 25 while Virginia can lose to 4 top 15 teams and never even sniff the top 50 because they also lost to UNC and VT and those teams, while ranked at various points in the season are not as highly regarded (hyped) as Auburn, Tenn or MissSt although all finished with near identical records.

SEC is the top conference, BUT UF and Auburn and Texas A$M competing for other conferences titles every year? Nah not buying that.

Let's be honest, UF with the right coaching staff is a top 10 program. Auburn, based on raw talent more than likely wins the Coastal most years. Texas A&M is a different animal since they moved to the SEC. They're commited to being a top 10 program, and with Jimbo's recruiting they're gonna be a contender for the forseeable future.
