***THE DEFINITIVE PLAYOFF THREAD***

Galloway said losing opens Miami and Bama up to the eye test....if that's the case South Carolina has to get 11. If it's going off of pure metrics, it should have been Miami. Bama getting in is ******* criminal, the ACC should sue these *****.
That’s what I said earlier today - if going on the eye test, SC should be the pick. They are the team that has put it together over the past 7 weeks.

That said, did we REALLY think the ACC was about to stand on business for multiple bids? They have bent over for the SEC at every turn. A couple last minute tweets ain’t moving the needle. Sankey on the other hand has been in everybodys ear.

As I talked about earlier, every argument is circular. Preseason polls tip the scales in the SEC’s favor and are still doing it

Yup. That 3-1 includes Missouri. Is Missouri definitely better than Duke or GT or Louisville? Of course not. But they’re in the SEC so of course they’re ranked high to start the year.

we had to beat a 7-5 GT team with a QB who couldn’t throw or win a game we lead 21-0

TrumpyCane doesn’t feel bad for them at all

Truth. I think most can deal with that. It’s getting passed up by Bama that’s the joke. I could live with Ole Miss or South Carolina.

Jesus ******* Christ
Idiot Facepalm GIF
:ohlord:. This is going to be a looooong off season lol

If Georgia loses to Texas could we jump Alabama again, considering they getting credit for a big win over a 9-3 Georgia. Also Tennessee with 2 losses, Indiana with 1 loss, penn state if the get blown out by Oregon are no better imo. It is what it is though.
the Chair said they would not reevaluate Alabama positioning with Miami regardless of outcomes. Only those playing would have potential impacts.

I agree completely, but why does this **** only apply to Miami? Alabama had to assume they had zero safety net after losing twice. And then 10 days ago, they went to Norman and scored 3 points. They looked beyond awful the entire football game. Their path was clear to force the committee’s hand, and they didn’t take it. They left it up to the committee. And they still get to back in? **** that.
Pretty simple to me as a semi old timer getting to personally witness UM crash the college football landscape in the early 80s.

We will always be the bad guys, despite being a vacation spot for teams to come Rape us in better weather 70s and before.

Alabama is a college football darling. They will **** us over 100 out of 100 times for a traditional cash cow like that

UNLV loses, Boise St is OUT. No impact to Alabama position.
SMU loses, that will be interesting. They didn’t do SMU any favors with the 8 spot. Indiana (9) would definitely be ranked over SMU then, Boise St is gone so you could have 3 way pack of SMU/Clemson/Alabama in the rankings. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alabama still gets in with a SMU loss.

Well, Boise State losing opens up a spot in top 10

Wouldn’t it be better for SMU to win and Bama and Miami would move up a spot?

"wins over top 25 teams" is a new metric now.

If they had made it "wins over top 28 teams" we'd be 2-1 and Bama would be 3-1.. but that wouldn't fit their narrative.
