Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

Oh no private industry absolutely has tried. I’ve even seen them with interchangeable filters which would be 3x easier to make but we’ll all die before they get all the approvals and licensing to freaking sell it. It’s ridiculous.
We'll disagree again. It's a mess that we are forced to rely on China for everything we need.

Let’s not forget the second wave to come in the fall/late fall, which no one is talking about, but many scientists think is likely to happen.

There‘s some decent data to indicate that this may subside significantly during the summer months.

Not fear-mongering, just laying out another possibility.

The relevance of that to this thread is that it is another reason that any mass large gatherings (including stadium crowds) are kaput for the rest of the year.

While we may be back to some adapted semblance of normality, large packed crowds are not going to have widespread support from many, thereby the likelihood of no big stadium crowds.

Somebody needs to convince me otherwise, I wish they would

I strongly agree here, with all that’s being done to fight this we will see so many changes in every day life it will be at times overwhelming.

I said this before , sports may have to be a casualty this year as OCCC said this virus may have another round in the chamber we may get a relapse and those are worse .

I cannot agree more here , if some here take opposing view then do this.

Take wet face clothes and cram it in your mouth and hold your nose and breathe try it .

Imagine the agony of death this way or watching others die.

I DON’T KNOW HOW NURSES DO IT SEEING THIS ALL DAY 12-18 HOURS A DAY.

Hurricane season coming and they say it’s going to be bad then VIRUS season RESUMES following.

I don’t see anything sports till next year.

i’m not trying to scare anybody. Viruses and pandemics have been happening since man walked upright. And we don’t know if the second wave will be the same, or less. Sometimes in pandemics it’s less.

I became a Great Grandpa this week , had plans to travel to Seymour Indiana to be there and virus canned that.

Just had FaceTime on cell phone instead to see great granddaughter.

Yes changes are overwhelming

There are a whole **** of a lot more people infected with this virus than has been reported. Don't know if you've seen the reports out of Santa Clara California, but they recently tested 3,300 random people who had reported zero symptoms. Between 2.5 and 4.5 percent tested positive for CV antibodies. There are 1,000 cases in Santa Clara. If between 2.5 and 4.5 percent of the Santa Clara pop had CV that would be almost 50k cases. People are getting it and showing no symptoms, passing it to others at an exponential rate...and the death rate keeps dropping. We are well into the herd immunity phase months in advance.

Can you explain how the antibody test results in connection with lack of symptoms is being reported, as I'm uncertain. Are you certain that all the people who are reporting no symptoms right now also never had any virus symptoms? Or is it just that they've had no symptoms during what is thought of as the C19 time frame beginning in Feb or March of 2020? I wouldn't be surprised if this virus has been around longer than is being reported.

Pretty pathetic that our country can't even make fcking paper masks to protect lives anymore. With the War Powers Act during WWII we had American companies making everything we needed because we had real capabilities. We've become a slave to goddam China. What a sad state of affairs.

If anyone owns an Apple product, smash it and get Samsung (far less manufactured in China, but still).

Will the western consumers demand that companies unwind manufacturing capabilities and move them to India, Africa, other Asia, South America????

It's easier to cry about it for some. I will say others will rise up to the challenge. This is a folcrum in time. Let's see which way the pendulum swings....

I’ve had phones from both and the Apple has way less glitches and is just better quality. These American companies need to start manufacturing in our hemisphere and help our friendly neighbors.

It's a shame that we don't manufacture anything here.

It has long past become a national security and sovereignty issue.

We need a major correction and fast. If someone tells you they are a "global citizen" or support "globalization" vs FAIR global trade between nations, slap them.

Repeatedly.

This is a major monkey wrench to every statistical study:

If anybody has actually been paying attention, people like Dr. Gottlieb have been saying this for 2 months. Many hundreds of thousands or even millions either have had it or will have it without even knowing it. That's why these death rates as a % of those infected are hugely inflated. Look, even 1 death from this virus is horrific and the entire situation we are all in right now is awful but those are just the facts.

Dr. Gottlieb and colleagues are probably right. I don’t think y’all understand that if you don’t get a fever then it’ll present as if it’s just a cold or your allergies acting up if you have them or maybe even a stomach bug because some people get diarrhea. Von Miller is an absolute perfect example. He went on NFL Live when he found out he tested positive and literally said “well I got a cough and I have asthma so I used my nebulizer, it wasn’t as effective so my sister said to get tested just in case that’s why I got tested.” Most asthmatics aren’t bad enough to need a nebulizer and probably would’ve just gone about their day.

Politicians have long been more concerned with other nations then our own and have had there foot on the neck of American companies till they’ve choked and forced to leave .
In the electrical supply business have in the passed had to rely on China for steel because politicians killed the steel belt in this country.

Then forced us to build buildings with only USA products WELL guess what NOT .

Only in the last couple years have our USA made products increased, it’s still tough at times to find USA material but it’s getting better with this administration just telling facts.

This virus has shown we do NOT need China, oil or anything from foreign countries whom scheme constantly to take advantage of us through politicians.

When his virus eases the GREATEST working force on earth the USA will ROAR back like never before it’s like a lion in chains now but it’s POISED READY.

Personally speaking,

When you have to rely on other countries for your economic survival you have a serious problem and are at the disposal to submit.

When foreign countries are ****ed that’s a good thing, what’s good for the goose.

This Great country of ours has EVERYTHING we need right here no need for any outside enabling we don’t have our hands out for our survival any more.

Why some are against this is a mystery, till there LAID OFF BECAUSE OF CHINA 🇨🇳.
