Sunday scrimmage

btw didn't Bush have a similar play against FSU too, where he made the right play?

dammit mane... Bush had the pick but Kacey knocked the ball out of his hands.. lol... ******* Kacy

lol I think it was L. Gunter who knocked the ball out of his hands.... but yeah that was Bush's int.

Like I said Bush has no limitations to his game besides his obvious health concerns..... thats why I can see Jamal Carter beating out Ray Jenkins for the starting spot b/c of #26's liability in run support.

correct, it was Gunter, but was it vs F*U? It was almost identical to the Kacy play if I remember correctly.

If you watch the video from yesterday you see him go down awkwardly and then he didn't return. I have no idea if he's out for one week or if his career is over. I also don't know why Harvey was moved to OL, but I think it has more to do with needing some guys to play OL on the scout team.

Your troll game is plenty weak. Today it may be at its weakest. SMH at "he didn't return". Every knows you don't know that.

All it takes is some ability to perceive things and not be complete simpleton. Seantrel was running with the 2's after for the rest of the way after Sonny went down. Not my fault that you're not intelligent enough to use things like deductive logic to find out the truth.

You have no idea when the injury occurred. Early or late. There is no proof that they give us highlights in the order they happened. You're guessing. Say they held him out as a precaution. They're switching a player's position just because a kid got hurt and will be out a few day at most? What we do have is 5 scholarship TEs. No need for a 275 lb TE in Harvey who isn't all that athletically gifted in the first place.

I don't know for sure, but guessing isn't necessary because Seantrel running with the 2's means that something likely happened to Sonny. As for the reason Harvey got moved, I couldn't care less. Isidora is out, Knighton is allegedly hurt, and now Sonny might be out so while I don't think the Harvey switch was necessarily made out of necessity I don't think it's a bad idea.

Knighton wasn't in a sling yesterday after the scrimmage. He didn't appear to dress out. At 4:24 of the scrimmage video, he is behind Crawford who is being interviewed. Didn't appear anything serious was wrong with him.

Yeah it was against FSU b/c I remember Gunter was defending R. Smith on that play and Bush came out of nowhere and almost had the INT but Gunter swatted at the ball at the last minute....

and I do think it was the same identical play over the top against KC with the same receiver (R. Smith) except Gunter and Bush are talented enough to make a play on the ball.

Anyone else a bit concerned with how much camp Bush has missed? Any timetable for his return?

I had the same hernia surgery that Deon had, he is fortunate to be up walking, he is supposed to be bed ridden for 3 weeks while that surgical scar heals.

Tracy Howard is the all around better one though. Tracy will come up and hit somebody and has always done that. Crawford is faster and usually on the recievers hip pocket the whole time. Both will be starting against fau watch.

I think at this point L. Gunter, T. Howard, and A. Crawford are all even.... just depends on what you prefer.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gunter get some time at Safety this year if either Bush or Jenkins cant go. Something like Howard and Crawford at corner with Gunter and Bush at safety could work.

L. Gunter is a much better look at safety, in the absence of D. Bush, over KC Rogers and AJ Highsmith

How in the world do you guys know Gunter can play Safety?

Wait, I know, he's big so he translates well to that position. LOL

Lemme tell yall somethin'...

If you think Highsmith and Rogers look bad at Safety watch what happens when you stick a kid back there who's never played the position before. It would take him atleast a month just to learn the reads and become comfortable. Totally different animal than Corner.

I think Gunter would be able to make plays on instincts alone better then AJ and KC, from the safety position, especially in coverage. He already knows the playbook so it wouldnt be that hard of a transition.... KC and Deon switched from safety to nickelback last year a lot.

So Sean Harvey has been moved to OL.

Could be in response to Odogwu going down yesterday.

There were no reports that he went down yesterday. Some guy said he read it somewhere and then couldn't produce where he read it. Sean Harvey got moved because he is now 275 lbs.

Paging Corey King.

I feel like King could handle the switch/transition well. He's the strongest kid on the team, no? Hopefully natural ability/being around the game for so long and his strength makes him capable of doing so.

was going to post this in another thread but might as well throw it in here just to pump everyone up a bit. Just made it. How ******* sick is it that this was Duke's first touch as a Freshman at the University of Miami? This just proves that he bleeds the orange and green of an old school Cane.

There's no way you can just plug him in at Safety RIGHT NOW and he'll start making plays. It's a totally different animal back there at Safety.

Even if he had better instincts than Rogers/Highsmith, the fact that he's getting acclimated to the position and learning the reads would slow him down to the point where he wouldn't be any more serviceable.

Plus, we don't know how good Gunter's instincts are so it's kinda silly to say he would even have that going for him.

It's one thing to know the playbook and/or your responsibilities. It's another thing to have your eyes trained to read things from the Safety position while they're flying at you at 100mph.
