Sunday scrimmage

look like ****ing clowns with those shoes mane... did they ban black shoes and Im not diggin those jerseys mane..

exactly.... these uniforms are still the worst of all time Golden needs to burn them ****s ASAP and them shoes is terrible. I'm tired of seeing these shoes with the orange tips even the black shoes with the white tips are wack.... they need to be all black PERIOD.

Wasnt Nike suppose to change the fabric or something like that??? i cant even tell.

I was thinking the same thing...

BUT, I think these scrimmages use the uni's from last year. I'm thinking they won't break out the "new" **** until August 30th.

/fingers crossed

I hope so.... Nike better not have been talking **** cuz imma need to see a noticeable difference with how the uniforms fit from top to bottom (above the knees).

Something tells me that Golden, UM, nor Nike gives a fuzzy rat's *** what you think about uniforms, or shoes.

Sticking my neck out here - way out - I'd almost wager that you don't even enter the decision making process.

But while you're here, is there anything - can there be one more single thing that you can ****s and moan about - you know things that collectively don't amount to a short pile of sun-dry fly crap?

Giselle is quickly becoming the perfect girl.

sure she's good.

but can she do this?

Point well taken.

You keep your freak on, Chip!

I'm curious, do the canesinsight people have press credentials to be at the scrimmage? If so, I was surprised we didn't get a play by play.
We got pictures from Giselle, but that was pretty much the coverage of the scrimmage.
Either way, nothing is worse than The Herald. They put up generic content that looked copied from hurricanesports.com and are tweeting interviews with fiu commits.
They are fuucking pitiful.

No press had access to scrimmage

The same way she does the practice reports. She is with the school's media staff.

Thanks for the clarification.
Didn't know her specific affiliation.

Actually nice to see our D actually seem to dominate overall. How long has it been since there were even signs of that? The good O plays were money moves, money throws, etc that few defenses could handle.

Hopefully our D has finally grown up.

Or Kehoe sucks.

Still can't cover TEs though

The press coverage was restricted to UM journalism students like Chip and Giselle.

Anyone else think Standish looks like a god **** man right now? That dude is thick as **** and he's got great length. That guy has a great future here, IMO. Could be the most talented TE on the roster when it's all said and done.

Boy has some fire on that TD, that's for sure.

He certainly has the scream down.
I'm hoping he along with most of the freshmen redshirt this year.
AQM, Burns, Coley, maybe Carter I'm hoping they get some burn due to being extraordinary freshmen.
We have to get back to playing freshmen because they are exceptional, not because they are desperately needed.

I am not sure that sonny got hurt on that play with the roll up, however it looked awkward. It also looked like he just let is slide out so he did a weird split. Hopefully he is ok.
I have no issue with the safety coverage on the TD to 4 because that is a looong way to expect a safety to be. And lets give SM some credit for keeping his eyes up field to keep the safety honest there.
Duke is impressive, that cut was disgusting and I don't like the tackle by 22 however is was a very nice job closing on him there. Maybe he turns up this yr. Looks like we are going to need him if Bush does not start to practice soon.
Thought Dillard make a nice run for the TD, he might just grab a few carries. However it does look like a majority will go to EC and DC. Those two are looking pretty sharp so far.
All in all, good stuff. Here's to hoping everyone gets up in the a.m. feeling fresh and ready to keep this train moving in the right direction.

[h=2]Eduardo Clements scores, other notes from Miami Hurricanes’ first 2013 scrimmage[/h]by Matt PorterIf Eduardo Clements is healthy, he provides Miami necessary depth in the backfield behind ACC Freshman of the Year Duke Johnson and shifty backup Dallas Crawford.
It appears Clements is ready for that role.
Clements rushed for a six-yard touchdown on Sunday in Miami’s first scrimmage of training camp. Clements, a 5-foot-9, 192-pound senior from Miami-Booker T. Washington High, has said he’s healed from a herniated disk in his neck suffered while covering a kickoff last Oct. 13 against North Carolina, an injury that was initially believed to be a stinger. Instead, it ended his season and left him in a neck brace for three months.
It has been a long road back for Clements, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries as a junior, and had four tackles on special teams. He was cleared to resume contact in the weeks before camp and has taken licks since the first day of contact, which was last Monday.
“It was a struggle. It was a battle,” coach Al Golden said Saturday. “As with any injury of that magnitude, there’s a lot of ups and downs on the way back. But overall, he’s been really positive here.”
The 90-minute, scripted scrimmage, which was closed to reporters, included artificial crowd noise, penalties and “signature third-down music” played in an attempt to rattle the offense, according to UM.
UM said senior quarterback Stephen Morris threw a pair of touchdown passes, a 1-yard toss to fullback Maurice Hagens and a 30-yarder to junior Phillip Dorsett, who made an over-the-shoulder catch. Freshman Danny Dillard added a 3-yard rushing score.
Miami’s defense, which got the better of the offense in an 11-on-11 practice drill open to reporters on Friday, registered three sacks, four tackles for loss, three pass deflections and three pass break-ups. Sophomore kicker Matt Goudis hit three-of-three field goals, all from 45 to 47 yards.
Several players were held out of the scrimmage. Junior defensive lineman David Perry (knee), sophomore safety Deon Bush (hernia), plus junior defensive end Anthony Naser, sophomore running back Brandon Yosha and freshman offensive lineman Hunter Knighton were held out with injuries.
The four players added to the roster last week were not in pads. Defensive ends Ufomba Kamalu andDavid Gilbert and defensive tackle Justin Renfrow, all of whom are expected to see playing time this season, sat because of the NCAA’s two-day waiting period before new players may practice in pads. Also sitting out was freshman defensive end Naim Mustafaa, formerly of Oklahoma State. He will not play this fall due to transfer rules.
Miami also hosted a post-scrimmage barbecue for recruits, which was attended by Dwyer senior wide receiver Johnnie Dixon, who is considering Miami along with Alabama, Ohio State and Florida. Also in attendance: Palm Beach Central offensive tackle Kc McDermott and Santaluces receiver DarrellLangham, both of whom previously gave verbal commitments to Miami.
Miami will hold another scrimmage on Friday, which Golden said will largely determine the makeup of UM’s roster heading into its season opener Aug. 30 against Florida Atlantic.

Anybody else think its bizarre that Clements is touted as a short yardage back and weighs less than Duke?
192 lbs is not what I have always imagined as a short yardage bulldozer.

McCord is a pass rushing beast.... Hamilton look good back there 2.

The D-line overall did a good job of collapsing the O-line and creating pressure on the QB.

The LB corp is Nasty Figs knows how to close in and destroy you like Perryman.

Jamal Carter looks like the most physically imposing safety on the roster even over the bigger Ray Jenkins.

T. Howard is the best run stopping cornerback on our team, thats one of the reasons i like him over Crawford b/c he knows how to make an impact in other ways besides covering the receiver.

Duke that juke move is ridiculous... Jenkins had good position and he still made him miss.
