Stephen Morris vs Florida St

Not sure if this is a defense of
Morris or against defense or what but to compare him to Winston in this game is silly.

Looks at the difference in the windows each QB had to throw to. I just have to laugh when posters say we have WRs open all night long, you might want to watch the game again. This has become a mantra on this board that i don't understand. This isn't a defense of Morris as I don't think he has been good this year but IMO our route combos and WR seperation hasn't been great either.

Zone is to S. Morris as Nights was to Corch Shannon. There is no reason arguing anymore.

what r u saying... you all get mad when someone comes w/ a different perspective instead of saying ****** **** all day that makes no sense and doesnt take account of anything rational.

If you got point then state it and maybe you are right, but if not save the bs comments it just shows that you dont have a response to challenge an opinion.

Exactly and i know ur not defending Morris but this is also one of the points i make on this board....

so many "QB coaches" and everything else "coaches" on this board that just make up one bs thing after the next that isnt true. But everybody believes it b/c they dont have a clue either...

"yeah the TE is going to win us games Morris cant find him" "yeah the WR's are open all the time" lol wtf is up w/ all the made up bs?

So which school are you coaching at zone?

Both teams had 11 possessions each. Yet it is the defenses fault. That our offense can't sustain drives.

it's funny how their are so many coaches on this board but nobody knows how to break down stats accurately....

"both teams had 11 possessions each" lol wow

The offense did their jobs, the 11 possessions came after Miami's defense was getting it's *** handed to them w/ a score of 28-14,35-14,38-14. that's when Miami evened out the possessions after the game was already over

Miami's offense sustained drives i just showed u that Miami was converting 50% going into the 2nd half.... the 1st drive of the 2nd half Morris got a sack b/c Wheeler the center playing guard let the blitz run free. That's one failed 3rd down that has nothing to do w/ Morris at all.

.

You have gone full ****** zone.

Miami's defense getting it's *** handed to them....... ok.

How bout Miami's offense got it's *** handed to them after the half. Didn't convert a ******* 3rd down until the final seconds were running off the clock.

Lmfao at those 11 possessions came after our defense was getting spanked.

iwhy does that matter you all are the corches not me.... you have never seen me say all this stupid **** like "uh Stephen Morris's mechanics his footwork, uh he doesnt read the defense" gtfoh w/ that bull**** you all dont even know what the call is, what the defense is, what the #1, #2, or #3 receivers are on the field, just make up ****.

All i have said is he's inconsistent... i've said that ppl are going so hard on Morris this year even though he's battling a serious injury that would negatively effect any player at any position yet nobody wants to ride w/ the QB that's showing heart and gives us the best chance to have a winning season. smh i dont get it.

It's not about me thinking Morris is w/o blame and perfect b/c i've always said he isnt perfect but you all act like Johnny Manziel is on this roster?

smh... you dont want to admit when you dont have a clue but that's ok.

the 1st drive of the 2nd half Morris got sacked on 3rd down b/c the OL didnt pick up the blitz..... guess what FSU's offense scored on the next drive. What the **** does that particular failed 3rd down conversion have to do w/ UM's defense getting scored on immediately on FSU's 1st offensive drive???

You're not making any sense. Like i said the blowout was already underway during those failed 3rd down conversions. the defense in the 3rd quarter was WOAT. simple as that.

You think any offense is going to execute perfectly on any 1 drive all the time??... lol i hope u dont think that. The defense is suppose to get a stop and give the offense another chance but did that happen?

when anyone that's critical of morris looks at his plays and points out flaws, they're "qb coaches" that don't know what they're talking about and spouting bs. when you look at morris' play and make your analysis, you're an expert. gotcha.

My analysis is he's inconsistent.... the end. Nothing overly technical about, making up **** like the QB coaches on here do so often.

Lol ok zone ur a genius. Our opinions don't hold any weight compared to yours. Were all stupid and we have no right to criticize Morris. Sorry we upset you.

Stephen Morris isn't even in the top 40 in FBS passer rating. The top ten features the following names:

Winston, Mariota, Bridgewater, McCarron, Mettenberger, Petty, Miller, Manziel.....

Guys from 10-25 include Boyd, Murray, Franklin, Mannion, Shaw, Hundley, and Gardner.

The guy is a MIDDLE OF THE PACK MEDIOCRE QB. The numbers show that. Kid had no business being here, and yet he was the only thing Shannon left over!

Nice non biased balanced perspective you have here lol hilarious

Stephen Morris has been playing through an ankle injury all season, i dont give a **** about passer rating dumb ***, every QB on that list would have below their norm type numbers if they have been hobbling around w/ a bum ankle/Achilles injury all year.

GTFOH.... Yeah Morris has no business being here, you sound so ****n stupid. If Morris wasnt here, your boy Ryan Williams would be the main one you would be bashing all over this site b/c we wouldnt be 7-1 w/o Morris.

like i said i dont give a **** about passer rating, Morris is injured and playing w/ a lot of moxie, and he's the only QB on this roster that gives Miami a chance at finishing the season w/ just 1 loss. When was the last time miami had a 1 loss season..... oh n/m just STFU.

Was he injured last year when he had AN EVEN WORSE PASSER RATING???

Btw I said earlier that our d isn't perfect and it's not gonna be perfect. We're not gonna be bama on d in one offseason after being so bad last year. My problem is that the offense didn't bail out the D when they had the chance by putting together long drives. If your d is struggling, how about the offense try and get a long drive together that limits Fsus opportunities.

Yeah he did injure his ankle actually.... and before that i seem to recall that the entire team sucked and was a bunch of overachievers mainly b/c of Stephen Morris.... REMEMBER?

Passer Rating right?.... what happened in the ND game when he threw 2 perfect passes to Dorsett? Herb Waters was dropping passes too. The point is when you throw out Passer Rating the end, like its the end all be all clearly means you just have a bias and dont fully know what ur talking about.

Last year Stephen Morris makes most of these throws... Not sure if it's the ankle or the mental aspect of his game thats really making him underthrow these bombs that he made look effortless and threw right on the money last year all the time. That underthrow to Coley which would have 100 percent been a touchdown sticks out over the others... Can't believe he underthrew that... he ALWAYS makes that throw last year...

Hope he can bounce back and finish the year strong, otherwise we're all just left wondering what went wrong..

Losing Dorsett really hurts.

and Walford played a lousy game as a receiver... Enter Sandland.

One bad game for Walford and you're ready to bench him? Standard...for some on here I guess.

Walford didn't have a great game but he did still make plays. I guess with your logic the whole starting team should already be on the bench.

Holy **** on that 2nd INT if he just checked down to Dallas it goes for about 15 yds

holy **** on that 2nd interception the game was already 35-14.

Good point, no need to try when your down 21.

Side note: Waiting for your response.

bro the offense did try to score..... Morris threw a TD pass to Stacy Coley wide open but he dropped it b/c he tried to catch it w/ 1 hand before the interception to Walford.

Morris was trying to make something happen, the offense didnt give up, the defense did.

Right, that's exactly what happened.

There is a serious disconnect. Here is the post again. Let me know your thoughts.....

(4 Games Through ACC Play)

47 Offensive Drives (this includes a few drives where we hold it before halftime or kill the clock to end the game)

12 Punts

10 Turnovers

96 Total Points (actual offensive points from Drives, a pick 6 does not count)

3 Missed FGs (all under 50 yards)

102:05 Time of Total Possession (out of 240 Total Minutes) or 42.5% of the game we're on offense

----------------------------------------------------------------

21% of the time we turn the ball over on offense

25% of the time we punt the ball

THOUGHTS?
