Some names to watch before it’s deleted

Not going off anything other than a hunch, but I wouldn’t be surprised if whoever gets the OC job is a name that hasn’t been mentioned yet. Mario and staff seems to have leaks sealed tight.

Little known fact: Tom Brady started his career as a punter but he kept outkicking his coverage so they moved him to qb.
He does look goofy in that shot.
But as we all know, it is impossible to outkick your coverage when you're worth $250M.

if some way Dorsey is oc, this board goin to crazy fo like 9 months because nobody really know what kind offense he runs!! might see a lil in spring but not much!! lol

Another old friend of Mario's. Not mentioned yet. Also great at preventing leaks.

Five years guaranteed as OC…either Briles or Dorsey goes to us for 5 and the other goes to the Turds for 5 years..who do you choose? I’d choose Ken hands down.

There are 0.0 gator fans who would oppose this deal. Take your Canes glasses off for 2 seconds. Is FSU dying to get Dorsey? Is UF? Is anyone in college? We all love Ken, but the fact that he played here has ZERO BEARING on his ability to be a great coach. And he might be. But he hasn’t proven it as far as play-calling at any level. Why is he the highest on the board? Again, it’s not like we unlock a cheat code if we hire a former player. He’s just a coach like anyone else would be.

Let’s put it this way…..Chris Weinke just took the QB job at GT. He’s coached QBs in the NFL. And at Tennessee. Why isn’t he #1 on FSU’s board? This obsession we have with former players is beyond weird. If anything, prior history should tell us we should NOT hire former players as coaches. They’ve mostly been very underwhelming. (Let’s hope Mario bucks that trend).

Notice how "the OC doesn't need to recruit" gets brought up with any other potential coach, but is forgotten by the Dorsey-haters when it comes to Dorsey.

See how easy that is?
no actually that makes zero sense. recruiting, experience and longevity get brought up with every potential coach, except dorsey. you saying that a certain coach on a college staff doesn’t need to recruit is laughable.

Oh he is in fact one of it not the most gifted ever from a physical tool set.

Lots of rookies struggle, Allen already showed marked improvement from
Rookie year to 2nd year before Dorsey got there. That is why im
Saying QB's can mature and grow into the league, and many struggle as rookies.

Now he made another leap year 3. It looks like natural progression many QB's make. Im
sure Dorsey helped, but it's hard to quantify, and regardless he hasn't called plays, and that's a huge risk.

My man… Dorsey joined Buffalo as QB coach for Allen’s 2nd season (2019). His hiring aligns with the 2nd year jump you speak of

Anyone who watched Josh Allen before Dorsey got there can’t tell me they saw his jump coming. He took everyone and I mean EVERYONE by surprise with how much better his accuracy and decision making got… it definitely wasn’t a “natural QB progression” it was a ton of hard work and good coaching that helped him progress.

It could be canes glasses. Not denying that. So you feel Briles has a higher upside than Ken does? I’d be scared facing the turds with Ken having 5 years of OC experience. I wouldn’t be scared of Briles. From what I see Briles is real good. Has he accomplished more as a coach than Ken has? He’s called more plays and runs a good O. Does he have award winning players? Does Briles coach QBs? Are they MVPs? Ken has award winners at the highest level. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be happy w either. I find it an interesting topic.

I completely disagree with you for the first time in a long time. I think it's more akin to how we got Mario. The 12 game winning, top 10 class recruiting, Rose Bowl wining coach of Oregon isn't going to be interested in coming to Miami in 2021 unless there is a personal connection. That's how we got Mario. I don't think there is another program Mario would have left for. MAYBE Bama. From what I understand he told LSU, UF and USC that he wasn't interested.

I think it's the same with Ken. He's on many NFL short-lists to be an NFL OC next year. Who in their right mind stops that train? I don't think he would entertain a CFB OC position. Unless it was the siren call of his alma mater and Mario. And even then I don't know if we could pull him.

I don't think people here are really understanding how coveted an NFL OC position is. Many think it's the greatest coaching gig in sports. Everyone eventually wants HC money and power, but calling plays in the NFL is as fun as it gets.

No co-OC title listed on his Twitter, we’ll see if that changes.

I am still a pig in ****. I don't think people get it. We're taking down highly coveted elite SEC coaches. B-Mac is a DOG. I guarantee he got 10-20 different inquiries from top programs.

Yup, he’s a **** of a recruiter. I don’t care what his title is, just make him the primary on the top offensive skill recruits

I saw how Josh Allen got developed over the years. And I hate the Bills on the same level with FSU and Florida.

That dude made jumps that nobody, and I mean nobody, expected from him, in areas, where he was absolutely awful.

If anyone doesnt want Dorsey, put the tape on what Allen did @ New England about two weeks ago.
I bet the Bills expected him to be pretty good when they picked him #7 in the first round…
