If Mario brings a boring ground and pound style offense he better win and win big or the natives will turn on him real fast.
There’s no way he’s gonna tell guys like Inniss and Kevin Coleman that they’re gonna love the OC hire and that it’s exciting if that was the plan.

It’s gonna be someone running an up-tempo, spread system that slings it too. Briles obviously fits that

I wonder who our fallback guy is if Briles falls through?

Dorsey. Who might also fall through. But I know a bunch of people are going to lose their ****e over a Dorsey mention.

And it really doesn't matter what the opinion of CIS posters is. It only matters what Mario's opinion is. And he likes Dorsey.

He’s a recruiter. He wasn’t going to be like “hey guys, you’re going to hate this hire, but **** you’ll learn to block!”

But it’s probably not a ground and pound guy

Oregon plays tonight so maybe we hear some coaches officially announced tomorrow.

Arkansas plays Saturday so I would assume we hear about 95% of our staff by Monday/Tuesday.

If we don’t hear about coordinators by then, that would mean they are coaching in the NFL or championships game (Georgia) maybe Michigan beats Georgia and we have a full staff by Jan 2

Derek Mason would be disappointing for me. Schumann is an elite recruiter, knows the area having recruited Georgia and FL extensively, and has upside working at one of the premier college football programs with high-level defensive minds such as Smart, Muschamp, and Lanning and also cutting his teeth under Saban. The players at Georgia love him but not as a friend type, the quotes I've read have been unanimous in that they love him because he pushes them to be better and has improved their game.

All that and he hasn't called the defense yet. Will be stepping into a situation void of the athletes up front that he's seen at Bama and UGA. I like him and hope he comes, but he's not sure thing regardless of who he has been in the room with
