Sick of the local kids disrespecting this U

Kids today don't remember when Miami was great. Kids want to win and that is why Miami doesn't get great players. If Miami wants to get back to pulling 5 star players, start winning.
Upvoted.

To add, in the 80s and 90s growing up in Philly, besides pro football (predominantly Eagles with some Giant and Cowgirl turncoats from Philly), if ANY college football team I have seen repped in philly it was Penn State or MIAMI. That's all you seen, mainly in the hood in Philly was a lot of Miami Starter button ups or pullovers. They remember Miami DOMINANCE.

Funny parallel, I seen a post that miami went and gave young black men a chance to a college education and showcase their talents to America. Temple basketball was that team in the 80s and early 90s. But Temple decided to put their $$$ into their medical program (funny, huh) and kids started going to UNC, Duke, boring *** Syracuse, etc. The problem is the administration. When the admin decides to invest more into the athletic department, you will see a culture change. You can make the hires you wanna make. You can have the adequate amount of money for recruiting trips and for offender extra incentives to compete in recruiting.

Our guys need to stop being so friendly towards these kids punking the U. Go where you must but dog my school & we will fight. Cuck behavior.

He’s sure as **** not supposed to have only 11 commits and 115th ranked class nationally right?

Coming off a 9 win season with a team in the heart of South Florida and he’s got a recruiting class ranked 12th in his conference, behind Old Dominion and Rice.
No 4 or 5 star recruit wants to go to FIU, most don't even know what FIU is.

Correct 100% this is also the “here and now” as well as a “me, me and more me” generation. I don’t understand this generation at all I mean are some great kids out there you just have to look very intently to find them these days.

Anyway my point is they care at how many likes and retweets they can get on Twitter, Facebook, how many bags and the availability of coeds (The last part I would do the exact same thing if I am a recruit). I workout with a former Wisky WR and he told me he went there because it was like a 4 to 1 women/men ratio.

Let’s face it way too much going on down in South Beach as opposed to these other schools where they are the kings of the hill. We can’t even pack the stadium for every game because way too many other options down here

This 100%! Shockey, Dorsey, Reed, McKinnie, etc. all came from outside of south Florida. It has abundent talent, but ignoring the rest of the country is not a great plan. You can find talented kids that will hold the U in high regards as long as you dont ignore them....like Darnell Wright from this year. But you have to have elite recruiters for SoFla to give you the best chance to win
Back in the 70’s the majority of the kids were from the northeast, Texas, and cold weather states. Athletes as well as student body. Maybe we should have a mix of that and sofla.

First, let me say I've been a fan of this program since growing up in Key West in the early 80's and have been coming to this site for years to get information, never to post. I've found this site to be the best when it comes to information. The reason I decided to post today is because I'm fed up - angry - ticked off at these local kids making a mockery of this beloved program. It's akin to a loved one, or family member, being there fsor you throughout your life, supporting you, and then you spit in their face and haul butt for money. You hear, "Well they're going to Georgia to win!." Win What?? What exactly has Georgia won in the last 30-plus years? Also if you really "LOVE" the 305 like you claim, why are you going to clown us on national television? Second, people say, "If you win they will come." How the **** can we win if they don't come in the first place? Want to become sick to your stomach? Sit down and comprise a list of all the local kids who spurned Miami the last 10-15 years. We'd probably have 10 NC's by now, no joke. What needs to happen is this: When these kids return to Miami like, "Wassssup, we all good right?", we need to turn our backs on them and loudly say, "Nah, it AIN'T all good bruh." We should have zero respect for these dudes and make our feelings well known. You like Athens so much then go live there, permanently, because you aren't welcome here anymore. Again, I've really enjoyed reading your comments for years now and thank you for letting me vent.

I always love how Dalvin throws up the 305. It’s done to troll and we don’t have enough backbone as a community to do what you’re talking about.

Too many transplants foreigners and transients to care about CFB on that level like a tallahassee where you wouldn’t be able to show your face.

It’s probably a good solution, but not possible.

Until the local community turns on them like they turned on their community nothing will ever change. The "got to get yours mentality" is alive and well in Florida and is promoted. By the local community's.

Why would the local community turn on them? If they didn’t play ball y’all wouldn’t care about them nor would any university. Y’all are really entitled. Y’all are mad that these kids don’t automatically sign with y’all. I mean we have oos kids who do the same to sign with us. Can they handle recruiting better? Sure, maybe. Hey we drop kids if we feel they can’t contribute.

We need to win.

Man he’s not going to sign the majority of his class right now. He’s going to wait for some jucos and other talent that forever reason don’t sign with a p5 school. Look at his class last year he got like 2 top 10 juco recruits last year.

What's funny. Is people say we need big time recruiters but when we get guys that are. They turn into nobodies while they're here and when they move on. They're back too being ace recruiters.

These kids are being sold a bill of goods by the pimps of So. Florida. To stay away from the home team and sell yourself to the highest bidder. Which is why we always hear "business decision".

I mainly avoid the recruiting side of these site because i know. We are going to be left holding our ****s come the time to sign. Yeah you get your typical bump when a coach is hired or you may get that big time recruit because he does love this school but most times. They just ain't coming.

Get the commitments from the guys that want to be here. That are wanting to build the class and the program. Stop giving them the cold shoulder. For guys that feel they need you sucking them off 24/7. Yes tell them if they want to be apart of this class. We will make room but tell them. We are building our class and the future. With the thought that you may not come. So if you don't mind going up against dogs that love this school. You're welcome to commit.

No, if all the kids in S.FL stayed - we still have the original problem.

UM HAD it going - under Butch - but those cheap ******** wanted to play cheap games against Butch Davis and he left.

They are habitually lazy and habitually cheap.

They haven't made a single good decision since.

That's why we get no respect - nothing worthy of respect.

As a huge fan I'm ****ed because these kids are joke it's a lot of talent in South Florida **** the state sad part is coaches only go after kids on some **** recruiting board give a Ed Reed type someone whos gonna put in work because it's not about stars is how that player plays on the field we've all seen in years 4 and 5 stars become straight garbage but yet schools like UCF and Boise St rise because they have kids that leave it on the feild I say I could careless about these cheerleaders they bandwagon players don't want them our coaches just need to look closely at what's really in the south and across the nation

I agree that what Bogle and Stevenson did was really disrespectful. If they've known for weeks or even months where they were going, don't make it a point to troll all the local fans by making it seem like the U was still in it. Bogle in particular was a total diva through the whole process, then had the balls to make it seem like he might have come here if Kul had stayed, as if that was ever really a factor.

And before anyone starts ripping the coaches for not knowing or continuing to engage with them, just stop. It's their job to fight to the bitter end to try and flip them, even though they know exactly what's going on.

Never been one of those "Just shut up and sign" guys. Don't care about kids having their time in the sun. It's things like blatantly asking for Canes fans to follow him on Twitter while openly trying to build drama, to then troll your own local school that's wrong.

They didn't "troll the fanbase". Some you guys on this site.

Anyone with a brain could have told you EXACTLY where these guys were going for the past several months.

Y'all just chose not to listen. Again.

Seriously, why don't we recruit Samoa and the other Pacific Islands? They grow 'em big out there if you hadn't noticed. NFL lines are studded with these guys. You ain't finding those type players locally.

305 is well and good but those kids want to get to the NFL. Bama, Georgia and OSU are making that happen right now.

I feel disrespected by the kids that show up all the time to practices and gameday then play games on social media, but it’s what it’s, if UM coaches let them do that why wouldn’t they.

Miami Should've won way more games with the talent that we got over the last 10 years, but we haven’t, kids see that and bolt. They don’t feel like they owe something to the home team and the home team is not making that decision hard anyway.

I believe (hope might be a better word) if Miami puts together 2-3 9/10 wins seasons, Bowl victories, top 15 finishes and players drafted in the first 2 days Miami would be able to beat UGA, OSU, Mich, Oregon and OU and at least have a respectable record against Clemson and Bama for the local talent

It is their job to fight to the end, agree. However, they need to be aware that any high profile kid (recruited by Bama, UGA, etc) who says “You’re in my top 5. Will announce on signing day or UA Game.” - 2% chance of landing that kid and they need to get the plan B and C kids on board.

We keep putting all of our eggs in these baskets and keep getting burned and left with ****! Wisen up already

ESPN/SEC
Bama/Saban
Shannon/Golden
Shapiro
Cloud

happened... creating the perfect storm against our area recruiting.

The cloud gave higher level kids an "excuse" to escape pressure to stay home. Once kids started seeing they don't need to stay at bay to make it to the league, it became a trend. There's no more loyalty. Luke kept running his mouth Lamar bashed us. Ice sent Treon to UF. Chad turned coated.

It can be attainable again, but Manny is gonna have to play it smart, dirty, and rely on some luck to get the train going again.

Gotta start getting studs out of the area. Deejay, Malek, Brevin, Willis, NJoku show proof that you don't need to stay here to get the talent. Get out of state guys and start making the U a destination again.
Agree with point. Malek is from broward county FYI.

Imo they never stopped recruiting other guys at their positions. Where they got caught flat footed was when the two o-lineman and Solomon bolted late and they didn't seem to have a single plan B.

But I get your point 100%.
