Seniors pre-season draft stock

Some of yall think tracy dominated just cause he had 4 picks. He had a good year but not a shutdown corner but maybe he will be this year i dont know but right now no.

Exactly... He had a solid to good year but it was no where near dominating...

Go back and watch the defensive plays last year.

Try to find 5 completions Howard gave up all year.
I don't mean in a game. I mean all year long.

There were many games where opposing qb's just didn't throw his way at all.

I'm not sure what the criteria is for being a shutdown corner, but in my book, giving up single digit completions for a season makes you a shutdown corner.

Agreed completely. Even with 4 picks(who the **** judges a CB just based off this), TH still showed playmaker ability despite not being thrown at much. Rarely did I see TH giving up a reception. The guy was borderline elite last year like I said.

If Brandon Harris can get drafted in the 2nd and DVD in the 3rd than Howard, who is better than both, should be considered to be in 1-3 round draft range leaning more towards late 1st /early second .

A few of you are really overrating Perryman and Howard as NFL prospects.

Harris showed out pretty well in the combine. And we haven't seen enough yet from Howard to say he's better than Harris. Howard's gonna run very poorly at the combine and that's gonna hurt his stock.

And DVD ran a 4.2 forty at 6'1". He also didn't give up a TD for like two straight years in college.

Flowers - 1st (LOCK)
Duke - 2nd (Unless rushes for atleast 1500 & he runs a 4.4)
Perryman - 2nd (could sneak into the 1st depending on need and 40)
Howard - 2-3 (from shoulders up 1st rounder but i dont see him impressing at the combine)
Dorsett - 2-3 (i see him having a big year with all the single coverage)
Chickillo - 4-5 (Almost a lock at this area barring any break out sr yr)
Feliciano - 5th (he needs to step it up in the run)
Gunter 6-7 (he will be a great pro, probably one of the best from this class STEAL)
Walford - 7-UDFA

The problem with Dorsett is that he's a Randall Hill type. Zero wiggle. Zero run after the catch ability. His speed definitely is elite but he's pretty close to a one trick pony from an NFL perspective. Definitely worth a first day pick but I think that ranking is about right.

He has no wiggle with the ball but he is quick as a route runner. I see him as a 3rd-4th rounder. The speed is rare, he has high character and he can separate all day.

Whose value would you compare him to?

Low Side: Titus Young
High Side: Kenny Stills

How about if Coley was eligible he would probably be our highest pick and first rounder but when he gets drafted watch he goes top ten

A lot of guys have a chance to get drafted in next years draft and some of them can go very high. We got potentially 3-4 1st rounders next year assuming they continue to play great, stay healthy, and improve.

Flowers - Top 15
Duke - Borderline 1st
Perryman - Borderline 1st
Howard - Borderline 1st
Chickillo - 4th
Feliciano - 5th
Walford - 5th
Dorsett - 7th
Gunter 7-UDFA

Definitely a lot of guys can get drafted. ****, if Bush has a good year and stays healthy and decides to declare, he could go in the first 3 rounds.

Howard is more like a 4th to 5th round pick and Dorsett right now is a 3rd round pick with potential to go in the 2nd round...

Dorsett is definitely not that high. I did these as best case scenario's anyway. Like said before, Dorsett is nothing more than a 1 trick pony. He has injury concerns. Howard played at a **** near elite level last year. He's one of the best CBs in CFB. A good season can put him in that borderline 1st round pick range. Best case scenario for Dorsett is probably 5th. Dorsett could probably make a solid deep threat as a #4 WR on a roster.

Why you make seem like being a "one trick pony" WR a bad thing?

Harris ran 4.53 at the combine after having recently been abused by Micheal Floyd in the Sun bowl. His stock took a hit and is why he dropped to the second.
I've seen enough of Howard to compare him to Harris as a freshman and sophomore to say he's better and I don't think its even close. Better feet and hips. Harris although is more physical and better tackler. But from a pass coverage perspective Howard is better after their first two seasons. I expect that trajectory to continue into his junior year.
But I agree a bad forty time can drop his stock. Thats why I gave a range of 1-3 rounds. Any time above a 4.5 and he's 2nd or 3rd round.
Another thing going for Howard is defense employing more nickel packages which I think will be Howards value in the league depending on his forty. He can cover slot as good as anyone. Ask him to cover the #1 WR in a post and he'll get exposed.

This is brought to you by Canadian Club whiskey Canada dry Ginger Ale and B.C Bud

Howard to small. Better test outta this world 2nd round at best
Gunter has size better run sub 4.4

I would compare Philly to TB3 5th to 7th

As for DVD and Gordon don't forget Al Davis drafted them. Are they even on a practice roster any more?
If Al was still there O'Donell coulda been a 1st rounder

Just my.3 cents. our dollar is down again.LULz

Off to find a hockey game and eat Canadian bacon

I fvckin love Canadian bacon!!! It seems like when I was little though they made it differently. I remember it used to be so good on pizza but the last couple of times I ordered it on a pizza it was just ham. :(

Howard isn't better than Harris... Harris was like 2nd team AA as a sophomore and he stuck on some awesome players... Yea Michael Floyd did him in but he did a lot of players in... Harris also ran like a high 4.4 at the combine... Howard had a good year but he hasn't shown to be a first round talent... And what's this about being caught on? Our defense was giving up so many passing yards I doubt it was to one side of the field... I could have sworn Tyree Harris for Wake was killing Howard before he was injured... I don't know which corner was sticking on who for UF but Dunbae and Patton was getting in good with our secondary...

I like the kid... He's good but he isn't a 1st round pick... Come on... I know we're excited about the upcoming season but the kid has to show more... And not being caught on? When I watch games I saw qbs throwing on our secondary at will... I didn't see any team go away from Howard or any corner on our team especially if you had multiple players catching 80+ yards...

Harris might have ran a 4.53 but he had primetime going crazy about him in the drills. Prime and mayock was saying that he had the best feet out of dbs at the combine.

As for tracy he is not considered by anyone to be a 1st round pick. That would mean he is one of the top 3 or 4 cbs in cfb and no one has him that high. Looking at walter football camp they have 6 cbs in the 1st round and tracy isnt 1 of them.

Based on their picks they have
1.pj williams fsu
2.ronald darby fsu
3.jalen collins lsu
4.ifo ekpre-olumu oregon
5.trae waynes michigan st.
6.alex carter stanford

O and howard gave up about 3 catches in the uf game alone. Tracy isnt shutting anyone down when he is playing zone 90% of the time.
