Seniors pre-season draft stock

A lot of guys have a chance to get drafted in next years draft and some of them can go very high. We got potentially 3-4 1st rounders next year assuming they continue to play great, stay healthy, and improve.

Flowers - Top 15
Duke - Borderline 1st
Perryman - Borderline 1st
Howard - Borderline 1st
Chickillo - 4th
Feliciano - 5th
Walford - 5th
Dorsett - 7th
Gunter 7-UDFA

Definitely a lot of guys can get drafted. ****, if Bush has a good year and stays healthy and decides to declare, he could go in the first 3 rounds.

Howard is more like a 4th to 5th round pick and Dorsett right now is a 3rd round pick with potential to go in the 2nd round...

Dorsett is definitely not that high. I did these as best case scenario's anyway. Like said before, Dorsett is nothing more than a 1 trick pony. He has injury concerns. Howard played at a **** near elite level last year. He's one of the best CBs in CFB. A good season can put him in that borderline 1st round pick range. Best case scenario for Dorsett is probably 5th. Dorsett could probably make a solid deep threat as a #4 WR on a roster.

I dont see Walford as anything but average. I dont understand the fascination. Love the guy...he is a Cane, but Im not enamored with his skillset.

gotta agree, he gets a little overrated by some fans, watch out by my boy dobard he is going to have a breakout year

coverage skills wise howard is one of the best, but the one thing that might keep him out of the 1-2 rounds is his speed, he doesnt really have that burst that nfl teams want in CBs

Howard was not playing elite last year... He had a good and improve season but nothing elite... The entire secondary was getting killed... He had a great game against UNC and made an important play against UF but he was not elite... He was suspect quite a few times last year... He's not the most athletic prospect and he's not a great tackler... His coverage is good but not elite... He's a 4th to 5th round pick... As for Dorsett, that one trick pony has been more productive than Howard... His impact was missed because outside of Coley we couldn't stretch the field as efficient as we were before...

I like Howard but I don't think his performance has warranted him as being included as the best... I think he has good coverage skills but it isn't the best and I think his speed attributes to that... I think he can improve but right now I see him as a 4th round pick...

Howard is too high and Dorsett is too low, IMO.

The problem with Dorsett is that he's a Randall Hill type. Zero wiggle. Zero run after the catch ability. His speed definitely is elite but he's pretty close to a one trick pony from an NFL perspective. Definitely worth a first day pick but I think that ranking is about right.

I agree on Howard...he's too high. I think his best position at the next level will be at safety.

Hill was a 1st round pick

not elite? no one caught on him the whole year

I really doubt that's true... A matter a fact that isn't true...

Oh I did... That's something you should do... He would have made all conference if he was that effective... The guy played but he didn't dominate... He was caught on a few times throughout the year... He had a good year but he isn't elite... At least not yet...

next NFL draft only Bush and Flowers are first round talents. If you think Perryman or Duke goes in the first round, you don't pay attention to current drafting trends.

lol... Bush may not even start this year. Is slow down on Flowers aswell. He was in a bit if slump last season.

lol if you don't think that kid and Burns are athletic freaks at the next level. Burns will be a first round conversation in two. Him being hurt was as damaging to the D as Duke was to the O. I'm not going to post on this again, but he was coming out of his freshman season the highest rated Cane on most NFL teams boards.

Actually I follow the draft a lot throughout the whole year and watch film on many different prospects. In fact, I've been following the draft for a very long time. Bush hasn't proved a **** thing at this point to warrant anything close to 1st. He's injury prone and that doesn't help come draft day. I don't care how talented he is, the guy can't stay healthy. As far as Duke and Perryman, Duke is arguably the most talented player on this team. However, he's also injury prone but unlike Bush, Duke has proved to be an elite playmaker. I had Perryman as a late 2nd-early 3rd if he entered the draft this year. His size does hurt him but he makes up for it with his speed and power. Assuming he becomes more consistent while playing at his natural position of MLB, no reason he can't be a borderline 1st. Borderline 1st doesn't mean they're automatically going to be a 1st round pick. It means they're a fringe guy who can go late 1st-early 2nd which I know Perryman can do. Duke is in a position where his football position hurts him. However, I think his versatility as a receiver(needs to be used more by Coley this year) and returner can raise his draft status. His injuries are what hurts him. Duke will likely be a mid 2nd round guy if he stays healthy and has a good year. The draft projections I did we're best case scenarios for these guys. Not what they're going to be.

A slump? What? He's one of the best LTs in college. He was the only consistent player on the O-Line last year. Not his fault, he had an idiot of a QB behind him and an average RB in Crawford and a freshman in Edwards.

Howard would prolly be a 3rd round pick because of his 40. Cover 2 teams like tampa, dallas and teams that play mostly zone would be his best fit. Dorsett 5th round , perryman 2nd-3rd, walford 5th, duke 2nd maybe bottom 1st, flowers late 1st-2nd.

I think Dorsett will go surprisingly high. He scared one NC team(ND) into altering their defense after the first couple drives. Last year in his tow biggest games, he took the lid off an NFL level SEC secondary and the NC team on its home field. He might be a one trick pony, but that is the type of trick a lot of NLF teams like. And remember he was playing on the inferior team and not with Johnnie Football at QB.

Richard Gordon proves that with tight ends it's more about size and speed than production, when it comes to the draft.
