Scrimmage take...

Not fire Mark Richt but definitely John Richt. If you're the QB coach and the best QB you can trot out is a sub 50% passer against any team with a pulse, you should not have a job.
So essentially it's fire Mark Richt because that's who is actually coaching the quarterbacks.

He was horrible in those games. Completing 40% of your passes isnt good at all. That just means the recievers were able to make big plays but the qb failed to get them the ball consistently.
The receivers made big plays but the QB was horrible

Yes 42% vs a horrible unc team and defense is nothing to be proud of. Having around 5 games on the season where your completion percentage is in the 40s is fúcking embarrassing for a d1 qb.

Much better coaching and kaaya played vs better teams than rosier did.
2017 Team Defense Rankings:

Wisconsin - 2 (L)
Clemson - 4 (L)
VT -13 (W)
FSU - 18 (W)
Duke - 21 (W)
GT - 33 (W)
UVA - 40 (W)
ND - 45 (W)

Tell me in which of Kaaya's 3 years did he face 8 top 50 defenses, 5 of which were top 25. Was it the year he won 6 games or the year he won 7? I'll be right here waiting on your answer.

Our RB's gained 42 yards against UNC. You don't think that put a little extra pressure on the QB? Maybe Rosier helped us win the game in spite of an otherwise poor offensive day rather than the rest of the offense dragging Rosier and his 374 yards and 3 TD's across the finish line.

Just give it some thought.

Faced 6 top 50 defenses every year and completed over 40% of his passes in most of those games.

Excuses. Homer had 95 yards on just 13 carries vs vt and rosier was just at 50% and threw 3 picks.

are you really not comprehending why per attempt stats are better?

Yards per attempt gives a better overall picture and can be a good indicator of future success....when looked at along with total yrds and TD's (yards per attempt alone does not really say much without the other key basic stats). And I promise you it will not be the #1 line on a box score anytime soon and there is a reason for that.

I'm not making excuses. Homer was absolutely key for us against VaTech and GaTech. I don't see anybody here trying to tear him down though.

What did he do against Duke, UNC, and FSU. I think that was what we were discussing. I've never argued that Rosier played well all season or that he wasn't down right horrible at times. I've simply combated each and every moron that has come to this thread to try to beat him down and say that he was absolutely trash all the time. He played well at times and his contributions won us some games. If you want to say that FSU and UNC was close because of Rosiers 657 yards, that's cool. I'll stick to saying it had more to do with the 96 yards we got from our backs.

He was bad most of the time. The stats and film show it. He got a pass for most of the season because the team was winning. He had 7 games where he was at 53% or less. He led the acc in picks. That is horrible for a starting d1 qb.

But no way in **** Al Golden might possibly be the reason Richt got stuck with a RsJR who's never seen the film room.

Or is Golden just terrible when it benefits your argument?
That's on rosier. It shows he doesn't care. Kaaya had no problem getting in the film room.
