Scrimmage take...

I'm not making excuses. Homer was absolutely key for us against VaTech and GaTech. I don't see anybody here trying to tear him down though.

What did he do against Duke, UNC, and FSU. I think that was what we were discussing. I've never argued that Rosier played well all season or that he wasn't down right horrible at times. I've simply combated each and every moron that has come to this thread to try to beat him down and say that he was absolutely trash all the time. He played well at times and his contributions won us some games. If you want to say that FSU and UNC was close because of Rosiers 657 yards, that's cool. I'll stick to saying it had more to do with the 96 yards we got from our backs.
2017 Team Defense Rankings:

Wisconsin - 2 (L)
Clemson - 4 (L)
VT -13 (W)
FSU - 18 (W)
Duke - 21 (W)
GT - 33 (W)
UVA - 40 (W)
ND - 45 (W)

Tell me in which of Kaaya's 3 years did he face 8 top 50 defenses, 5 of which were top 25. Was it the year he won 6 games or the year he won 7? I'll be right here waiting on your answer.
BINGO

I dont blame you at all for that. We do need to incorporate more routes like that far more often. For qbs who throw 5 yard routes along the boundary into dirt as a regular occurrence do u really want him testing his meddle over the middle. There really is no room to complicate **** with him. Thats why ill steady scream any of the other 3 are my pick. Myself like everyone else finally wants to see the potential of all these weapons utilized. That isnt being done by throwing shallow crosses brother.

Yes, absolutely I do.

That's on rosier. It shows he doesn't care. Kaaya had no problem getting in the film room.
Kaaya came to campus as a pretty highly regarded QB prospect in May and was QB1 in August. Rosier came in as a baseball player and a possible option as a back up QB. What part of developing a QB prospect does not fall on the HC? Before you answer, I'd just like to remind everyone that y'all are ready to run Jon Richt out of town because he hasn't managed to get Rosier where you think he needs to be.

He was bad most of the time. The stats and film show it. He got a pass for most of the season because the team was winning. He had 7 games where he was at 53% or less. He led the acc in picks. That is horrible for a starting d1 qb.
He was 54% on the year and half of the time he was below that? Thank you for explaining how averages work, Mr. Berra. :richt:

I don't have a problem with jon. I was never a fan of rosier even when he came out of hs. And rankings doesn't have anything to do with a person's work ethic. Rosier chose not to put in the work.

TOTAL YARDS DONT MATTER! Holy ****. Stop discussing things in terms of total yards and total TDs. per attempt is what matters.
And Like I said already Rosier had very good yards/attempt and adjusted yards per attempt, and even TD%.
But if you read what I wrote or WATCHED THE ******* GAME you'd know that his Completion % was literally directly responsible for us almost losing that game. Its the reason he ******* got pulled from the game at one point. How do you not understand this?
You cant defend rosier in the UNC or Pitt games when RICHT ******* pulled him!
Bro it was literally all skill positions unc that bailed out rosier with Jeff Thomas burning a literal walk on and Herron just making a good play on a busted coverage .. Besides that idk what to Tell you if you think that unc game wasn't an abortion of a game

I'm not a big fan of Rosier either. He is not an accurate passer. But the problem is that we couldn't run the football on ANYBODY in the P5 with any consistency, and Rosier was being asked to throw the ball far to often for a guy with limited accuracy and football knowledge.

We were 79th running the ball, and that's WITH Rosier setting the Miami record for rushing yards from the QB spot. That's the worst rank of any team in the final AP top 25 by at least 25 spots. All the other teamd in the final AP Top 25 were 54th or better.

I dont disagree ghost but its just my opinion is that for Miami to get to the next level they need better QB play(which I simply dont think Rosy can provide - and hopefully Im wrong). I just look at the weapons the Canes have this upcoming season and it would be a **** shame if they didnt have a triggerman who could consistently make - and see - the routine plays

If Richt believes 12 is our best QB, so be it. I just hope he can be better than what he showed last year.
K9. Correct me if I’m wrong... weren’t you on the podcast with Pete last year talking about how limited rosier was. Saying how he only can read 1/3 of the field. And that severly limits our ability on offense when your QB is only seeing 1/3 of the field

@tinman_96, if you're just now on page 26 starting to down vote all of my posts, you're gonna wear out your ******* mouse and I am NOT buying you another one.
Just don’t agree with your arguments about the QB situation. I’m not deliberately down voting all of them. Don’t take it personal or be defensive.

What's hard understanding that we have elite skill positions lol
Which one? Our #1 WR, Ahmmon Richards who played hurt the half of the season he actually played? Our #1 RB Mark Walton who made it two games before being injured? Our ONLY TE who got injured? The true freshmans at WR? or the until now under-utilized 5'8" Braxton Berrios?

Ive stated something to that effect consistently, yes. And beyond that, he's just not a very accurate passer and his release also gets a lot of passes deflected. IN talking to people who I trust that see the all-22(which is the only way to really judge a QB, IMO) they all tell me he simply leaves too many plays out there each game...

I think rosier you definitely put the knife to goldens throat over. IF (big if)people are ready to run lil richt out of town its gotta be over his lone assesment of talent(& offers) & developing the kids he brings in. Myself im skeptical of lil richt only for the fact he alone runs his room when it omes to offers & assesments. I believe that should be more of a combined effort. All that being said i definitely wouldnt run him out of here over that. Id just like to see him rung in a lil.

Im just asking a question here, but why do you feel we were so bad or so hit or miss in the run game?

Was not aware of this. Big task for such a young buck.
