I wonder if Golden gets offended when someone calls him F*A*G
Dude he said she called me a boy I'm not a boy only men at this table the ticket said boys don't tip.................... yeah I'd say that meant he was offended by it
Ok but did he take it in a racist context or was he just being macho and didn't like being called a boy?
Do you not know/see the difference.
I'm not black but I can still say I'm offended by being referred to as a boy. You don't have to be black to be offended by "boy", you just have to be a macho douche.
Somebody with the bravado of Sapp would be offended by being called a boy, whether it was in a racial context or not. He never said anything about it offending him racially.
If he said it offended him racially then I would slightly understand, but to my knowledge he hasn't. Therefore, I come to the conclusion that it offended him because he feels like he's a big badass "man" and should be greeted as such. (which is highly likely considering that's his personality)
How 'bout I flip the race card?
What if the server was black and said "What can I get you boys to drink?"
Would he still be offended? Would he have treated that server the same way if she was black? (doubt it)
So now who's the racist?
Ran into a similar example at breakfast today. Female server addressed my mother in law as madam. All 4 of us chose to recognize it as the polite interpretation rather than assuming she was referring to her as an older woman who manages a brothel, escort service or some other form of prostitution, that is, a procuress.
Imagine after that stressful introduction, we ordered, ate, paid including tip, and then left - without incident.

That is all fine and dandy. But as a black man I am not going to allow someone to call me a boy.

I guess you take offense if your group of male friends are ever referred to as "your boys" then. Seems like Fat Warren here must call them "my men". Sounds a little limp wristed to me.

You are not slow or dumb so don't try and act like you don't know the difference between my friends and a stranger.

And you are not dumb or slow so don't act like the "Hey boyS, what can I get you to drink?" was a racist slight against Sapp.

I'm on your side...not Warren's. Call a black male (of any age) "boy" in the manner suggested and you're a racist deserving of being fired or punched in the face if you're a guy. Call a group of guys sitting at a table during a freaking sporting event "boys" and you're just a waitress trying to be informal in an informal setting. Sapp is a clown that should be roundly criticized here for insulting those that probably still experience real racism.
Last but not least who gave you guys the right to say what's offensive to someone else?
Don't worry I'll wait?
Hey guys what can I get you to drink...... works.......hey fellas what ya having what would you like to drink?....... works..........
No this women chose to call a table full of black men BOYS LOL OK SURE SHE DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING BY IT

Cleary. I'm just amazed Warren was able to overlook it until AFTER he finished his meal. Me personally? I wouldn't patronize any restaurant employing such a racist woman. Dude and his fellow "adult male friends" must really love soccer.
C'mon, bro. You're stretching here. Warren would have been equally "outraged" and cheap if she had called him "hun".
