Ryan Williams Hurt

Even if Kaya plays some next year, he can red shirt the year after, if Williams gets a medical and Olsen shows its his job, as Williams would then be the back up, so in 3 years there will be seperation again.

Don't think Williams can get a 6th year because the first time he redshirted was due to transferring. The NCAA will grant a 2nd RS due to circumstances beyond the athlete's control- injuries. Transferring was his option:

Honestly this is going to be Goldens next excuse

Feel terrible for Ryan

By the end of the year Golden will have Williams sounding like Tom Brady and Joe Montana's love child.

"Obviously Joe we never want to make excuses, but anytime you lose a future NFL HOF QB like Ryan Williams it hurts what we're trying to do on the field. Honestly it goes a lot deeper than just the offense. We allowed 74ppg but if we would have had Ryan we could have had a better TOP on offense and got that number down to 55ppg easily."

WOW LOL

Absolutely tragic about what happened to Williams. Wish him a speedy recovery.

That being said, next man up. The expectations for this season remain unchanged. 10 wins/Coastal or beat it.

I am sure there are more than a few fans that are thrilled that williams cant be the QB now. That 76 yard bomb was one heck of a perfect throw. Too many fans said it probably was a 5 yard pass.

Kosar, Dorsey & Olsen
ok so, here is what I know about this
I posted Rumor because it was not released by the university yet.
The Loved Olsen when they recruited him. He is an amazing talent. He arrived here and…. last year acted like a traditional (it was very bad considering his position) silly freshman. He focused on girls, drinking and "Partying". He has started to return to his old self on and off the field BUT BUT BUT they have been baby steps. He has a lot of growing up to do in a very short period of time. He is going to be on lock down from here going forward and they are talking to team leaders about best mentoring practices going forward. He has more ability than he has shown to date. He was a better QB in the 10th and 11th grade than he was here last season. It's a head game from here going forward. First round talent and smart enough to "get it". However, if any of you wonder why some on campus have been so down on him, they know football has been number three on his priority list since his arrival. That is a fact. He can do this, but will he? Million dollar question RIGHT NOW. The kid was better as a 10th grader at a tournament hat EVERYONE attended than every other qb, including seniors and juniors. It was not small, there was plenty of D1 talent and he was a 10/ next best was maybe an 8. He is better than his rivals rating. This is an unbelievable moment in UM's history fwiw if it all comes together. BIG ******* if...

one more note: Do not think BK will come in and dazzle. His system in high school was simple compared to ours and was not an EE. It will not be an easy transition. I would think from a football perspective that a mobil qb would have the advantage in a coin toss. my2 on that.

Sounds like greg needs to get with his little brother and give a lesson in act right.

Go Canes

Oh goodie, now folks who loved to bash Williams can now bash Crow. Number 13 is in the room!

Glad to know that uninformed bias is not personal and is transferable. Despair not Isaac Hoza!

A young hotshot qb is what this program needed. Whether he pans out or not, we don't know but suddenly there is more excitement around the program and for the season. Obviously you don't want what happened to Williams, but olden should have been the starter for this team regardless of William getting injured IMO.

People will start hating on Olsen right after his first 3 int performance. Which is more likely than not. Right now I sure hope he grows up in a hurry. He has the talent.
