Do we take all of Smith, this kid, and Stevenson if they want in? I assume yes, but what would that mean for Sanguinetti? CB?

Still with Davis, Couch, Dixon, long shots Steele and Dent out there for CB as well along with the wild card STY in Richards. Good problem to have but sheesh.

Yes Miami would take them, and Sango a corner although not limited, he can play the nickel too.

Lot of options at DB.

Pierre plays MLB and is more natural there but doesn’t possess the talent that Eaford has IMO in terms of his skill set. So it’s pick your poison. I guess I would just rather gamble on the kid learning the spot paired along with his athletic ability.

...and in no way was I trying to imply that just because a kid has the size of an MLB, he is automatically an MLB. I know that. I was just saying in addition to everything else I like about the kid, the size to play MLB is just a plus.

Eaford didnt have to play MLB either. DB trotted out the best MLB in s.fla the last two years in Rosendo Louis. Eaford is legit and even though has played de since middle school...has played in space and looked good doing so.

Why do people keep asking about Sanguinetti as anything other than a corner. He's built like DVD and 165pds. Hes not playing anything but corner.

Battle is the best Safety in S.fla there is no question if is he is a take. Smith is Randy Russell lite. What happened with Randy Russell?

As for Sanguinetti, I’m not going to say weight is irrelevant but it’s far from a concern. The kid is 17 months away from ever playing in a college game, weight will come. He doesn’t have to be a 200 pound thumper. He has the potential to be a first round center field Free Safety because he has elite ball skills and some of the best range that I’ve ever seen on tape. He has been listed at 165 for 2 years, nobody knows his true weight. I could be wrong but I don’t think I’ve seen/heard his name at any of these camps/combines? I’m sure he is still light, but that will come. Brandon Merriweather was 170 pounds when he got to UM. No, I AM NOT SAYING HE IS BRANDON MERRIWEATHER. Just reiterating, weight will come. The kid is a junior in High school. My Free Safety can max out at 185 in college if he is elite vs the pass to make up for it, which is exactly what this kid is.

Russell is at UF and I am pretty sure UF honored his scholarship after he received the health news. So he is attending school for free, good move by them.

Randy failed a physical with a heart condition if I remember correctly. Gayturds did honor his ship though.

Smith is 10 times the athletes Russell is/was (did Russell have a Baga offer?).

I would like to see Battle in this class at FS, but I would say that both Stevenson (could play CB but is a FS) and Gant are the best FSs in FL.

Smith is the top SS on our board, and with us utilizing the Rover/Striker position in our 4-2-5, his versatility will be huge.

I also agree that Sanguinetti could be a great CB, but may end up a better FS down the road (don't know if he has the speed to stay at CB when he continues to add weight).

He is also heavier than 170 lbs right now (those are old weights listed).

Jesus, this is objectively ridiculous

Smith has proven he's an elite athlete. Not just good, elite. Russell was always questionable because he ran a 4.8 40, and his film showed nothing of him playing coverage.

And Russell can't play anymore due to a heart condition, did you seriously ask what happened to him?

Mix between cooling and Pierre telling UF staff a lot of positive things. Coaches got a lot of talent at LB to come and visit over the past few weeks, I personally like Pierre but I don’t think they are sweating it if he flips. They have casted a wide net and seems like they opened up the LB board. Darius Williams is another guy to keep an eye on, he told me a few weeks back he was looking forward to visiting for the spring game and talking with Manny.

I honestly can’t say with confidence what is going on with Brown. I got a guy who’s tight with PBC staff so I’ll ask him to dig around and see if he finds out anything.

Theres another kid from the la area weve got onto lately. Ill get his name. Our back up plans are basically a bunch of committed kids. Mertz would be a great flip as i think hes the pride of this class.

Aren’t you supposed to be an insider? You’re ragging on sanguinetti for his build, which is fair enough, but somehow you’re sucking off battle who is almost as tiny? If the Italian is only 165, battle isn’t a pound over 170. His arms are literal pipe cleaners.
 
whoever thinks a guy can't play rush lb then switch to a different type of LB or to like DL in college is a fool. It doesn't matter what ******* position you played in HS. Its about your skillset/talent. Just because someone wasn't asked to do something in HS doesn't mean he can't do it here.
