Quick Update & Recruiting Q&A: Pierre,Cunningham, etc.

Eaford could never play MLB, he has been a rush end his whole career and never had to read offensive linemen and react from the MLB position.

It takes time to obtain those instincts.

Just b/c Eaford has the size of a MLB, does not make him a MLB!

He may be able to excel as an OLB in a 3-4 (pretty much a rush end) but will take years to become an effective OLB in a 4-3 (think MRob and McCord).

I personally don’t want Eaford in this class and will be pretty upset if we lose Pierre, b/c IMO he is the best MLB in the state.

I have to check Hoppers film, but I would still want to keep Pierre.

Absolutely. And I'd add that if you don't have those instincts by the time you're 17 years old, you may never get them. No matter you athletically talented you are. Reaction time and instincts are arguably the most important traits for a LB. Seeing the play develop is a completely different skill than pinning your ears back and going after the QB (what a DE does).

And not a single guy you mentioned is coming this weekend and is going elsewhere. Follow the visits *****.

God your the worst troll if I've ever seen one.

You say follow the visits. yet every one of our top targets has been on the campus multiple times within the last couple weeks. so yeah Little Toad follow the visits baby back bi*ch boy

I agree he is a bell cow and if our running game looks like UGA then he's the right guy he carries the ball a lot real workhorse and plays both ways.. I am simply a fan of backs that compliment each other ie. Michel & Chubb McIntosh and Crowley are very similar but if it shakes out like that so be it.

I see what you're saying with the similarity between McIntosh and Crowley. Honestly they're pretty much carbon copies of one another as players, but i am always a fan of getting the best kids on campus and let the competition figure it out. They're both bigger bodied athletes with great movement for players of their size. Not burners by any means, but they can move. Also they're football players in a true sense of the word and that really gives them the ability to find other roles if they can't crack the 2-3 deep at RB

No they're not carbon copies. That's just lazy & shows you have no idea how to evaluate RBs.

Ok then please tell me how i am wrong. You know since by your response you know a lot more than me. Care to elaborate anything more besides your opinion that i know nothing and am lazy.

Or do you just say stupid **** on the internet cause you're a tool?

Right so differentiate between the two .. similar size similar speed I give the slight nod to Crowley explosion out of stance and feet BUT McIntosh seems to have longer runs (big run ability) per his highlights and breaks more tackles

What say you?

Thank you!

We are already bringing in one guy like that to play OLB here in Sam Brooks.

We 100% don't need to use up another LB scholarship in this class to go to a guy who has just rushed the passer his whole HS career.

I love the pick up of Solomon and want Huff in this class.

Pierre's instincts and size/speed combo make him perfect for the MLB position.

Even with us going to a hybrid 4-3/4-2-5 with a Rover/Striker SS type (as the 5th DB instead of a Nickle 4-2-5), we still want one of those 2 LBs to be a MLB that can handle being in the middle of all the **** and be able to reed the offensive line (lets you know if its a run or a pass before anything else) then into the backfield and locate the ball, all before he really even moves, then shed a block and make a tackle or drop back into coverage or pick up your man coming out of the backfield.

MLB is the hardest position to learn on defense hands down, and like Combo said it takes years to master and if he doesn't have it by college, he most likely won't pick it up for a few years unless the kid is the most "coachable" kid out there. Is Eaford?

IMO if Eaford or Sam Brooks make the transition to LB successfully, it would only be at OLB where they can use their speed and pass rushing ability (and best in a 3-4), not in the middle where instincts are crucial so you don't get caught trying to figure out what is going on then get blocked every play.

Look how long it has taken Mike Smith, and he is still getting caught up inside, and he was an elite pass rushing WDE in HS for the bulls.

I like the pick up of Sam Brooks, but we don't need another WDE/OLB type in this class, and on top of all that **** Eaford, kid talked **** about not wanting to come here even if someone paid him or some **** a year or two ago.

If we lose Pierre, I will personally see it as a big loss, and if he goes to the turds then I'm even more ****ed.

Always wanted the LB class of Pierre, Solomon, Brooks and Huff.

I would love to bring in Rian Davis who has instincts at LB but would out grow the position and be a great WDE who could drop back if needed.

DE class of Williams, Bogle, Summerrall and Davis

Ingraham as a SDE/DT

DT - Daxon, Sorrells, Tyler Davis and maybe one more (Brown)

gotta be kidding me. this is the qb recruiting strategy? all in on MJJ, thats fine, but if we miss then scour for a hidden gem??? wow. I' sure you don't know the answer, but why in the world would we not be going after another top prospect just in case? why are we poverty?

also, taking just one WR would be a disaster. depending on how good their years go, we could potentially lose Richards, Cager, Langham, & Harris after this season. must stay loaded at the skill positions.
Miami just took 4 in 2018. Already have 3 in 2020. If they find someone they like it they miss on Ladson I’m sure they will take them.... but it’s not really a pressing need.

MJJ and Mertz have been the two guys. I’m sure maybe another national prospect could emerge if all else falls through. It’s too early to say for certain.

Shane Lee top 100 LB and teammates with their QB commit. Just visited them. Hopper has their offer tweet pined on his page and had since he got the offer. Stop gassing these boys up mr.insider. Nobody coming to the spring game. Even supposed locks like Richards going elsewhere? No Ladson no Stevenson. Yeah we aren't doing great at the moment on the trail. Incoming downvotes and childish insults.

Two things.

Shane Lee doesn’t even have an offer from them according to 247.

Everything else you said literally makes no sense, I have prospects to add to the list between today and tomorrow. You obviously didn’t pay close attention to how we did junior day and underclassmen day lists.
