Questions For Chip

Thoughts on the improvements Tracy Howard has made from last year to now? Real bright future here at UM, and in the pros, in my opinion.

He understands the defense. Too many times last season he was picked on because he didn't fully understand D'Onofrio's heavy zone defensive schemes. He was rated top 5 in man on man coverage coming out of high school. Now that he understands the defense, and has gotten stronger he's really improved. Did anybody else notice how Winston avoided throwing Coley's way last night?

Is herb a nd Stephen beefing cause he can't seem to get him the ball very well

I don't think so. I actually think Stephen is doing fine finding Waters. I think he needs to get more plays called for him, but Morris has been able to connect with Waters when the time came. UF game he scored a big TD, Had great grab against USF, Had a big catch against UNC that set up the go ahead run for Dallas Crawford. Just didn't get targeted enough against FSU which is why it sticks out

I'm with you. I need to see more from Ryan Williams to put my faith in him. But he's a veteran, he's been with the team for a while, understands the offense, and is a facilitator. That's all Miami really needs offensively. If Morris was good at being a facilitator first, and not a playmaker (too often he forces the issue), he'd be a better QB. Williams lacks the physical gifts of a Morris and isn't as inviting as Kevin Olsen because of Olsen's hype coming out of high school, but listen when I tell you that Williams will do his job. I said in an earlier response that it might be wise to give Olsen another year to grow and develop. Golden will have A LOT more talent around Olsen in two years than he will next year. But Williams is capable of being the starter, even if he has been both good and bad. Plus he is very accurate, but lacks the arm strength. Olsen isn't too far ahead in arm strength, but Olsen still has a couple years to get stronger and grow into his body, which is why another year of learning might be good for him

I'm going to bed y'all. Feel free to keep asking questions, I'll do my best to answer them. Glad to be on the site, looking forward to all future shenanigans
