Questions For Chip

Sorry, Chip, disagree with you on this one. Miami can easily lose this game even if they're mentally prepared and focused. As long as Coach D puts the players in horrible positions, mainly, not in the best position to make plays, we will continually see average offenses march up and down the field on us. Duke is a good team with an average offense.

That is exactly why I'm nervous about this one. Thanks for the input on the discussion it's possible that can happen.

Dear Chip,

Why do you think have Curtis Porter, Luther Robinson and Olsen Pierre, Raphael Kirby and Kacy Rodgers totally disappeared?
Why do our defensive players don´t recognize simple dump offs and screen passes? Do you think there is an overload mentally by D'onofrio? Are they thinking to much instead of reacting because of D'onofrios schemes?

^YES^

Dear Chip,

Is Duke going to push our **** in or what?

Sincerely,
Concerned Fan

Well Concerned fan that makes both of us! I'm actually traveling to Durham for the game and all I can say is, Miami is TOO talented to let this game slip by them. The only way I see Miami losing is if they are not mentally prepared and focused. Can't turn the ball over. Can't make simple error. Have to be disciplined. And have to regain the killer instinct from the beginning of the season. Duke is at home and streaking, anything you give them when they know the Canes are coming to town won't help AT ALL. Miami gets everyones best shot cause its Miami. So this is no sleeper and now every game counts more than they did last week. And I think the team can sense that. They just need to have that chip on the shoulder and urgency.

Plus we have that LOOOONNNGG walk from the locker rooms to the field. Recipe for disaster wouldn't you say Chip?

I was actually talking to Will Manso and Victor Oquendo about that last night. As well remember Famous onionhead Randy Shannon blamed a slow start from his Canes on that mile long walk from the visitor's locker room to the field. That's a lot of walking! Makes me laugh everytime.

Chip, what are your thoughts on Morris vs Williams starting at QB? I feel that Morris' ankle isn't allowing him to produce as he needs to lead the team down the field on a consistent basis, but he is obviously the emotional leader of the team. A lot of people have said that we need to stick with Morris, because we brought him to the dance. I don't think it is an easy topic, but one that should be discussed. In hindsight, he should have never played against S FL and potentially Ga Tech. Thoughts?

Thank you for your insight and knowledge on the program.

Your on point here. Morris is the emotional leader of the offense and his guys rally around him. It's why his teammates have his back cause he's been the one working the hardest and leading by example in the little things. Williams has taken steps towards being a leader but he still is a bit quiet in nature. He'll get there. The reason I don't see Morris coming out is because of that reason alone. Once Morris is through the season, Williams will know he will be the go to guy in the offseason if he can hold off Kevin Olsen. And I think he should have played those games, the offense needs their guy. Notice how when Duke went down the offense seemed complacent? When your top dog goes down it discourages you. Cause you know you need him to execute, perform and lead. It's as simple as that.

Hey everybody while I have the chance... I did a recorded sportscast at the WPLG station from this past Saturday. Please take a look and comment on the link of what you like, what I can improve on and the like. Always looking for feedback. Thanks.

That was not Notsince1985. He was with me having cheese fries and a beer at Outback. I have the receipt to prove it. Must be a case of mistaken identity.

we dont have smart FOOTBALL players...we run around chasing plays, not making them....

Great question..we suck at defending anything out of the backfield.....
