I'm seeing that lol. Don't get me wrong I understand playing qb as a freshman in P4 while being successful is VERY hard to do, but it's not impossible. And this kid has the pedigree to pull it off while Emory & Judd wouldn't have a chance in **** to pull it off.
His very first post was some gibberish how he just doesn't see it with Nickel and this was right after he won the state final and only missed one completion. LOL

The kid is the real deal. That's why when I see posters on here complain we don't have a 5star QB recruit I just laugh because it shows they don't research who we recruit and just go by stars.
I get that it's extremely tough for a true freshman to excel at this level and don't want him to start right away, but what are you basing this "suck more" opinion on?
If that’s the case, you roll with the ups and downs of your top-rated freshman QB (just hoping to keep him from getting burned), and honestly, losing might just teach him some valuable lessons. Starting Emory doesn’t really help us at all.
Nope. Lots of experts on CIS and most don't watch the film. Memnon, Lance R, Gogeta, and Coach Macho are the major exceptions. But I agree with you and Memnons assessment of Nickel being the best hs qb Mario has ever recruited at any school.

Why? We won 7 with a **** roster and TVD/Emory. Miami should win 8 with next years roster no matter who’s at QB.
It doesn't matter to a contrarian. Bring whatever expert; factual evidence; or anything else you want, the contrarian will either minimize, downplay, or outright ignore it all. CIS (and society as a whole) is riddled with them and they make the board unbearable at times. They're more fans of themselves than anything else. But such is life.
I don’t want to hate on Emory anymore here to talk about Nickel but Nickels soph film was better by miles than anything I saw from Emory. Even back then I was all in on him so I’m biased and not getting off the hype train any time soon
Even Lawrence didn’t start game 1. I dont think he actually started until like game 4 when he was splitting snaps with Kelly Bryant
