This is where I would devote my energy if I were the staff. It sounds like he should be throwing by spring.

Let him work back slowly, fast-track Nickel in spring, and take the field in 2025 with a Top 2 QB in the ACC.

The opt out of the draft date is 2/7. I think last day to enroll in classes is the 22nd? I’d imagine if Beck doesn’t go the draft route, it’s decided this week

Sucks to waste a championship offense (extremely balanced) with an abysmal defense. I definitely don't understand the plan in the secondary. Amateur hour. Guy making $8 million per keeps learning on the job.

All I can really say is we hit 10 wins this year and Mario pounded a podium pointing to our trajectory

He can’t miss on another DC hire and he can’t go into a season following just missing the playoffs with a QB depth chart of

If he misses the DC hire and fields that QB room (as much as I love Nickel) then a year or two from now he’s going to actually be worrying about his job

I’d say that would be enough motivation to make something happen here because he knows it can get Mike Norvell level pretty quickly

Lots of glaring holes to fret over. QB is just one I'm not. If I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

Pretty obvious this is their plan. Same exact thing Ward did last year and there hasn’t been a single peep about any interest in a QB actually in the portal since Mateer. Haven’t had a single QB on campus.

He needs to enter the portal, visit, and start negotiating. That’s the hold up. Basically, it happens this week or it’s over.
