Legit, I don’t think Jacolby George has ever won on a vertical route since he has been at UM. Outside of that amazing catch he made vs FSU last year and a grab his freshman year @ Duke…and even with those he didn’t create any separation! The amount of times we went to him on 9 patterns and we NEVER connected drove me insane.

Not to mention the little bull**** toss end arounds that we gave him like 3 times this year that went NO WHERE, lol. The kid is NOT a burner, but we kept giving him those opportunities and it drove me insane.
he looks like he'd be fast bc hes like 4'9 and skinny

Ewwwwers scares me tbh...

I've watched that kid play since his Junior year at Southlake & there's something off about him.

He has one of the most naturally talented arms I've ever seen, but he also has so many moments where he just completely mentally checks out & has a meltdown whenever he's met with adversity.

I've seen too many times where in big moments he just goes in the tank & quits.

I was really high on him coming out of HS, but this season has really soured me on him personally. He lacks some mental toughness that's necessary to be a great QB. He kinda gives me Josh Rosen vibes.

Supremely talented, but not mentally capable of handling the pressure. Suffers from rich kid disease.

Josh Rosen, lol.

Can't remember acelebrated QB prospect who was more overrated and unlikable to boot.

Classic "born on 3rd base, thinks he hit a triple" mentality.

Still remember when he came out shading Bama's players as if they didn't really belong in college acadmically, yet his dumb *** was making the same bone-headed mistakes throwing into coverage as a junior that he did as a freshman.

Then the "nine teams made mistakes" popping off after he went 10th in the first round in the 2018 draft.

Cards let him go after one year. Dolphins let him go. Never plays in SF. Cup a coffee with the Falcons. Never plays in Cleveland or Minnesota.

Outta the league at age 25.

To me, Rosen is the poster child for these QB's who play for these ridiculously stacked high school teams where it's all so easy that nobody' really knows what's gonna happen when they get to college and get knocked on their asses and the receivers aren't 10 yards in the clear every snap.

To be fair I don’t think cam deep ball accuracy was great this year. Jacolby is more if a yac guy than a deep ball guy imo, not physical enough. Those end arounds were just predictable as ****, he doesn’t have great top end speed he just accelerates fast

He’s everything our fans said tvd was but worse. Im hoping we aren’t seriously considering him

Honestly if we don't go for Mendoza asap, I think it means they'd only consider someone who hasn't already entered, which most likely means someone like Ewers unfortunately. Cause don't really see any other CFP contender Qb going, and if Sawyer Robertson or like Josh Hoover were going to enter, you gotta think they already would have. I wouldn't be surprised to take someone like Reece Poff in the meantime just to ensure competition though. That's why Air Noland could still make some sense I guess. Or that LSU QB I guess.
Like guys still in portal you got Caden Veltkamp, Ethan Vasco

Time to start facing reality guys. Here’s our Qb1 next year. Honestly after watching a few games it doesn’t look that bad. He’s only a sophomore and can improve. I like Emory too but M15 has played 2 years of games and has beat and played close some top tier competition.

If every other qb can improve with our online and weapons then an even better Mendoza won’t be so bad. Don’t forget this guy was waxing Cams *** as a sophmore (⏸️). But Cam is Cam so that was that.

He did have the sideline catch vs TAMU where he beat the CB, got hit by the safety right after he caught it, and ran in for a TD..

HOWEVER

NONETHELESS

He could never ever put it all together.

Sometimes he makes a tough catch, then he has a drop.

Sometimes he picks up like 10 yards after the catch, but it was either FAMU or Ball St where he had an end around where if he just stayed to the outside, he could've pranced into the end zone, but he cut back inside and got tackled.

Truly one of the most frustrating players in recent years.

Who's better Mendoza or matt sluka

Sluka is like Jackson Arnold without the arm talent.

I **** on Mendoza within the last 10 days. However, watching more on him, he's got some zip on his throws. Especially on the run. And he can scoot for a dude shaped like a #2 pencil.

So Mendoza.

Plus, Sluka kind of quit on his team and Mendoza seems like a leader
