Proof of Randomness in College Baseball

So you agree that 2017 was predictable.

No. It wasn't.

It's not predictable because one guy can post a grainy screen shot of a betting slip.

I bet someone out there put money on Coastal Carolina last year too. Doesn't make it predictable.

These are the things you fail at consistently.

That's because you're slow at this. You actually thought the games were random.

The one sure bet in Vegas: bet against Jim Morris in Omaha.

^^^Everything I wrote is a fact. Which part do you dispute?

The part where you veered completely off topic.

The CWS is not predictable. It's random.

You don't think it is. You're wrong.

Cool, except that the only reason "random" ever came up was when you people were defending Morris. Do you think this began as a CWS-probability discussion?

This is how it went:

"Morris gets pummeled in the CWS every year."
"So what? The games in Omaha are random."

And a year later you finally admit that the games aren't exactly out of Jim's control.

It's a list of teams and the number of games they won. A small group of teams has the majority of wins.

No.

1/3 of the teams won 2/3 of the games.

Not a very telling statistic (especially if one looks at the numbers).

So the teams that get there most often also win the majority of the games, but this crazy sport is just so random. No rhyme or reason at all.

And if you had bet on Florida every year in O'Sullivan's tenure you would have lost your ***.

So non-random in fact that Florida has exactly as many 0-2's as they do seasons with an Omaha win.

3 v 3

No rhyme or reason to it.

By the way, since we're never the #1 RPI team, the #1 ISR team, the #1 team in Baseball America, or the #1 National Seed, one might think we have a better chance, since the best team never wins.

Nope. 1-2 or 0-2 in six straight appearances over 16 years.

Who said that Florida was always the predictable winner?

LOL....."No rhyme or reason". Love it.
