Proof of Randomness in College Baseball

They are content with letting us have those kids so that we, not they, can miss the tournament.

This is just silly.

Florida was 29-28 in 2013 and had the same (or worse) season as we did this year but they snuck into the field and went 0-2.

Semantics.

Nobody has been as good at getting into the postseason as Miami.

Yeah, we've had four seasons since then. I'd say that the 2010-11 recruiting class doesn't quite fly with what we're talking about. UF is out-recruiting and out-developing right now, and they're doing it with southeast Florida being an afterthought.

Point taken. You won't question anything in UM's recruiting because of two posters on CanesInsight. Everything is fine. You know, the same way "everthing was fine" while we were losing home regionals on the way to missing the tournament. Everything is fine. Keep doing the same thing, Gino.

Now, what about the recruiting issue?

I've been talking about it this whole time while your deputy zbrod95 has been lying his pants off.

We recruit South Florida kids who have good academics (and can receive scholarship money) or come from wealthy familes (and can afford to pay or can live off campus).

This is due to our cost of attendance issues.

I;m all for recruiting out-of-state or other areas of Florida.

But that comes with more risk.

Think Kep Brown.

We can't afford to gamble on very many of those kids.

I see what we're doing. You're going to ignore the baseball issues while calling everyone dummies and liars.

zbrod95 lied about the baseball issues.

You piggybacked on his lies.

Your substance is being shot to pieces. Nothing that he has said (and you've tried to corroborate) is true.

What you're trying to do is dismiss his lies as irrelevant but they're actually the crux of your argument on this topic.

No I didn't, I miscounted by 2 players and you went "HA, he's a liar" but when I challenged you on everything else you called me dumb or said I misread because you didn't have a rebuttle.

Quick question: Why haven't you answered me back about your claim of not being able to get kids from Coral Springs /Parkland when every stud player from Stoneman Douglas commited to UM?

It's because I got you again and you don't have a rebuttle....

Why is UF able to clean up on a yearly basis at this point in time?

Recruiting rankings

2017
Florida: 1st
Miami: 4th

2018
Florida: 2nd
Miami: 9th

2019
Miami: 2nd
Florida: 3rd

What Florida does better than us is getting their star recruits to campus. I don't know how they do it (I'm not even sure it can be controlled).

You said 8.

It was 5.

So now you're lying about having lied.

This is after you then lied and said it was their recruiting class. You know the one with zero.

but when I challenged you on everything else you called me dumb or said I misread because you didn't have a rebuttle.

You didn't challenge me on anything.

You desperately attempted to change the subject by bringing up a text conversation with some random guy about some random topic.

Your allies are cringing in front of their computer screens reading your stuff. You've even embarrassed that group of miscreants.

It's 6 dummy, Jensen Beach is in Martin County which is in South Florida....it's literally a 20 minute drive from North Palm beach

Why does proximity make it less of a gamble if academics and/or finances are a requirement? A brilliant kid who can play isn't any more or less of a gamble if he comes from New Hampshire. But we're not proactive enough to find that kid before he commits to UConn. That's where the work comes in. I know for certain that Gino isn't doing anything on his own to see where those gems are every year. The only way we get an out of state kid is when he or his coach contacts Miami first. That's the complacency. Gino knows he can fill the roster with SoFla kids. But that doesn't get the job done anymore.

We have to get past the idea that south Florida kids are special when it comes to baseball.

Because I never said we're not able to get kids from Coral Springs and Parkland.

You're gasping for air and looking for a life raft but nobody is going to come to your aid.

That last statement alone is a dent in our "too expensive" argument. UF is convincing kids to turn down huge signing bonuses. If it was all about money, those kids would take the money.

You're still here?

I said Dade, Broward and Palm Beach nitwit.

On a roster of 29 players, only 4 of them are from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

Just keep it up, zbrod95. You're killing it.

It being what little respect you still had around here.

Why does proximity make it less of a gamble if academics and/or finances are a requirement?

Kep Brown got cold feet or was home sick or (insert reason).

It's always more of a risk for teenagers from out-of-state. It's a fact of life. Tons of college kids leave school after one year and transfer home.

Jonathan India (He's from Coral Springs where I live), Shaun Anderson(their all time saves leader, also where I'm from) who wasn't on this year's team but played on last year's team, they have a kid from Windermere(very rich neighborhood in Orlando), a kid from Boca(do I really have tell you that one?), and a Kid from Jupiter(again self explanatory)

On a roster of 29 players, only 4 of them are from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

And where did this assumption come from that these guys would be Canes? Go to Coral Springs or Parkland and count up the number of Miami and Florida fans. If you're really from there then you shouldn't have to be told this.

Since when did Windermere become a Miami haven? That was nonsense that you just posted.

Hi ! Remember this....

Yes you did you liar! You literally implied in this very post because this area is more "gator friendly"(it's not, it's filled with FSU fans) we can't get as many players from here and then you deny it

I didn't change the subject I literally said "you guessed and I'm going to prove to you that you don't know what you're talking about" and you said "oh I don't know what you're talking about, you misread"

I didn't guess anything.

80-90% of our players have good academics or come from wealthy families. It's not a guess.

You''ve lost badly today. In fact I don't think anybody has ever been beaten as badly as you have in this thread.

I literally said "you guessed and I'm going to prove to you that you don't know what you're talking about" and you said "oh I don't know what you're talking about, you misread"

You changed the subject by texting some random guy about some random thing that you misread.

80-90% of our kids have either good academics or come from wealthy families.

Not one thing you said disputed that claim.

You talked about two random players and then said gotcha.

I bet there are people reading this thread who have no godly idea what you were doing with that.

No it doesn't because I don't know the reason. Maybe their kids have had really high asking prices. Maybe they just wanted to play college ball more. Or may be O'Sullivan does something to convince them.

I don't know the answer.

YES YOU DID!

Do you have access to their grades? No you don't

Do you have access to their family's income? No you don't

You guessed
