How does getting commitments from Douglas players mean that UF doesn't have less fans in Coral Springs/Parkland than Miami?

Whether he was talking about the recruiting class or not, doesn't the point remain the same? That UF is getting kids from south Florida? Zbrod being an alleged liar isn't the real issue here. The issue is whether or not we're allowed to leave south Florida to recruit since UF clearly doesn't care about Andrew's mythological border.

On a roster of 29 players, only 4 of them are from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

And where did this assumption come from that these guys would be Canes? Go to Coral Springs or Parkland and count up the number of Miami and Florida fans. If you're really from there then you shouldn't have to be told this.

How about Medavilla? You have basically taken everyone else out of the mix as you can say that they did not have a big bat around them. However isn't that the job of the coaches get the players ready to take over when other players leave? We should not have had the drop off we did.

Who cares? We ARE getting kids from those counties, and Florida continues to be the better program. They are getting kids from wherever they want. It's telling that they aren't bothering with those kids while continuing to be a national seed every year. They are content with letting us have those kids so that we, not they, can miss the tournament.

This is just silly.

Florida was 29-28 in 2013 and had the same (or worse) season as we did this year but they snuck into the field and went 0-2.

Semantics.

Nobody has been as good at getting into the postseason as Miami.

Now, what about the recruiting issue? Why is UF able to clean up on a yearly basis at this point in time? And why doesn't Florida have to even bother with Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade? They aren't bringing in destitute kids, so the tuition thing doesn't fly. Is it maybe that they are developing kids better than we are? Is the typical baseball family more concerned with their player's future as opposed to which team has more fans in that town?
