Proof of Concept at QB

I agree all of those players with a year of starts are gambles and Emory is a sure thing. You guys are toxic.
As usual you make a ridiculous comment. No one said Emory is a sure thing. But none of the names being tossed around as options right now are sure things either. They all have massive question marks and are just as likely to be worse than Emory as they are to be better. They are all second tier type players on the order of what Malik Murphy, KJ Jefferson, Will Rogers, etc were, and we've all seen how great they have been at their new teams 🙄

What tier is Emory?

Based off what?
Based off what we have seen in his limited playing time as well as the coaches view on him. We've seen the others, and they don't stand out. I'm all for picking up a TOP QB in the portal, not just picking up another project or scrub and pushing aside the guy we recruited. Most names I'm seeing put forward are just projects or scrubs.

I'm not sure who you think wants to pursue a scrub, but Emory is lower tier than everyone you have named. He has done absolutely nothing at the college football level.

The names mentioned have only done anything because they've had more playing time. So is the plan now to show QB recruits that they will never have a shot because we'll portal someone in over them simply because they already have experience?

A lot of the QBs named are nothing more than equivalent to Murphy or Jefferson. Completely not worth portalling in

Why not?

Here is the head of the Senior Bowl saying he’s in the discussion. Louis Riddick (former NFL exec) also called him a first rounder:

Again, I love Arroyo. But right now he's not on anyone's draft board as the #1 tight end. He has 16 catches on the year.

This board tends to overrank Canes players. ****, people had Zion Nelson as a Top 10 pick a few years back, and Brevin Jordan being the first TE taken off the board.

Arroyo is a nice player but he's not the #1 tight end on anyone's board at the moment.
