In other words…

“Hey Guidry…”

Just my observation, but I have not seen a clip so far this spring of Ray Ray where I thought he was really working his hardest. He always looks to be going half ***, and his body language has a tone of "I've been here longer, and this is my starting job".
When I see this, it is not surprising to me that he has struggled to see the field despite the fact that so many connected to the HS scene down there keep questioning his lack of playing time. If this is how he has been the last few years, I am actually surprised that he is still on the team. The younger WRs all look hungrier and more enthusiastic in the drills and what they are doing.
If I am wrong and he has been going 100%, then he is just not at an elite level, and it won't take long to see him passed by and pouting on the sideline.
You have amazing observation skills. Seeing all that from a few rando clips is impressive.

I freak-ing love listening to Coach Mirabal. We’ve had more than our fair share of corches these past 20 years. He ain’t one of them.

A couple of interesting tidbits…

1. He specifically mentioned the top backups after Bell, McCoy, Brock, Coop and Cici - Rodriguez, Kinsler, Samson, Nino and Minaya! There have been whispers about Minaya taking the next step. It will be interesting to watch and see how much burn he gets going forward.

2. Mirabal watched every game Carson Beck played in 2023/24 just to see his tendencies in the pocket so he can prepare the OL accordingly. Awesome to hear.

The over excessive and failed defensive line stunting is on Mario as the head coach. You shouldn’t need an entire new defensive staff just a simplify basic things to get to the passer.

As a head coach, he should intervene and told Guidry to stop this stupid *** ****, it’s not working, he just stood there on the sidelines and waited until the season ends to fix this **** it with a new Staph

Less Stunting huh? ******* better...

JT said in his presser that Hetherman plays vertical. That they were talking about it and JT told him the Dolphins had only 3 stunts on their playlist (and they hardly ever ran the last one for third and long) and had 8 Pro Bowlers. ... I smiled.

Well, when you have been a coach for almost 3 decades, it doesn't take very long to see that stuff. Plus, I know several players currently on the team and they didn't disagree with me.
But...you can make smart *** comments to me if you want. I'm only sharing what I see. I honestly hope he proves me wrong and totally balls out as it will make us a great team. He has been here long enough and it's time to produce.

There was people claiming that it was Taylor calling all the stunts last year. Seems he don’t like them either

I wondered that since Guidry didn't do it as much in the previous year. Seemed like the thinking of an undersized, athletic, pass rusher would want to see.

But I doubt it. Definitely on Guidry.

Concerning since we are throwing in shorts with no pressure
One of Ferman’s posters attends all practices. He has said numerous times Emory & Judd have been awful. Nickel needs time to get up to the speed of the defense. They have been keeping him with the walk-ons and 3rd teamers. He needs to get more reps with the 2 deep guys.

We know how bad Emory is. Judd will never play here, not matter his physical profile. If Nickel isn’t better than them day 1 it’s a problem because neither of them are FBS players

Usually the truth lies in the middle. But even so that ain’t good. Judd was always gonna be a slow burn. Nickel is super green and should be going to prom

Important anecdote. Would like for the reporting on him to translate to something meaningful.
He has the measurables and maybe even the strength to hold his own already. I think the push and praise of DT Simpson is to keep him motivated and to avoid complacency. He may be a kid who has always been so big that a starting position was never even questionable.

I also believe that his first team reps and acknowledgment are being used by the coaches to motivate DTs Horton and Jones. Whatever the case, I hope they all take the opportunity and run with it.

I’m a Nickel fan so maybe I’m biased but Emory has always been good in practices right? Hence the narratives that were built

I’d say if he wasn’t separating himself from a kid that just showed up it’s probably about time to go
