I’d go with the devil you don’t know at this point. Emory was so bad in the bowl game it was cringe worthy. I’d rather give Nickel the reps. I mean, he “could” be worse. But that’s a really low bar to clear.

The fact we only have 8 scholarship WRs is really hurting Nickel’s development. Need to give him reps with the 1s and 2s ASAP.

I guess there’s nothing else to talk about but I’m still kinda shocked we are talking about Emory and Nickel on March 21st when we haven’t even really practiced yet but such is CiS

Nickel is better than Emory in every way other than Emory has been in this system a lot longer. Just a matter of time. Just have no idea how long that takes

That concept of keeping Nickel with 3rd string & walk ons only is retarded. Need to see him throwing to Lofton, Jojo, etc to fully gauge what he has. Does that mean he'll be a phenom by working with first string ? Probably not but **** at least give him what Emory gets at his disposal at minimum.

Yeah I agree throw him in with the big boys he’s going to make mistakes but that’s a given

If they suck right now you tell Emory thanks but no thanks and find someone who has at least played somewhere as backup in the spring. Can’t risk this season falling off a cliff with the roster in theory having the talent to be as good as last year

I tend to agree and think we should try to find 1-year backup rental again, just not as bad as Poff turned out to be. That's essentially what UGA did with Rashada.

Because these QBs looking like **** this is a brand new defense lol likely installing a minimal package so far and we still can’t maximize reps?

Not directed at you really. We are all looking for stuff to discuss. Nickels performance in shorts after a few days of “practice” shouldn’t really be one of them

I don’t see why the coaches would want to redshirt him if he’s as good as advertised so I would imagine this summer he will have every opportunity to win the backup job
