I hope this doesn't make it on to ESPN - Outside the Lines.
Thats horrible if true Al said this
Check the video I posted above his comment lol . It can be taken a number of different ways but I dont think it was meant the way the article portrayed it.
It's a really stupid thing to ***** about. Obviously Golden didn't mean what the dip**** professor's trying to make it sound like he meant. Is there any doubt that the prof is some whiny dbag academic who spends his life looking for **** like this to get attention?

Al didn't mean that "classes themselves" were distractions. He meant that the classroom "could become" a distraction if players aren't doing what they need to do.
This Professor took his quote way out of context.
Gigantic, total overreaction, and obviously manufactured posturing that what, - Golden is anti-class, anti-media? Holy crap. He prefaced it by saying coaches are addicts to the pursuit of practice and team prep. He's probably thinking Yearby had a class conflict and had to leave to get it resolved (misses practice), the media interview schedules are a nuisance (yet obligatory..with repetitively dumb ***, questions) that take player and coach prep time, etc., you know, every day stuff that adds up. So yes in that context it's distracting.
I am definitely sure he is anti injury though. Yet, some folks may find fault it that too. Holy sh*t this season can't start soon enough.

Exactly...grasping at straws here. Making a ******* mountain out of a mole hill.

I don't think so. He lumped classes, the media and guys getting injured together as distractions. It's hard to defend Al in this case.

The Pell Grant scheme, Nevin Shapiro, and now this.
