This is exactly what helped Travis and FSU OL. They were not a great OL and not near as good as ours.I haven’t gone back to look at the films but I recall that being primarily a right side lineup. Rivers seemed to hold up just fine to me, Francis struggled at times, again going off memory. I think we will see a massive improvement by Francis as a second year and if not we have options there. We can alway kick him inside and play McCoy, Bell, Kinsler or Pancake at RT.
Net/net, I feel we added both experience and depth to give Mirabal a ton of options along the line. Agree we need to see it. But projecting, I really like where this line is at. Bottom half of Top 10 doesn’t feel unreasonable to me.
Ward is a different beast altogether. He’ll extend plays to make the OL look good, just needs to hold onto the ball.
So if our oline was so great why did we max protect to cover the tackles as much as we did? This is exactly what helped Travis and FSU OL. They were not a great OL and not near as good as ours.
The mopers will get upset with that comment..So if our oline was so great why did we max protect to cover the tackles as much as we did?
Because we figured out that TVD likes to hold onto the ball too long and is about as mobile as my Grandma who isn't even alive anymore. So multiple prognosticators have ranked our OL top 10 but a random CIS posters says he doesn't see it.So if our oline was so great why did we max protect to cover the tackles as much as we did?
If u knew what you were watching u would see tvd held the ball too long because teams started dropping extra guys in coverage to take away him getting the ball out quickBecause we figured out that TVD likes to hold onto the ball too long and is about as mobile as my Grandma who isn't even alive anymore. You have no idea what I know and I've been around this program since before you were born.If u knew what you were watching u would see tvd held the ball too long because teams dropped extra guys in coverage to take away him getting the ball out quick so thats just not true
They max protected to cover for our tackles, one was a true freshman, one was making a position change. Its not rocket science to see. If the oline was as great as you think u wouldn’t need to max protect to have time if tvd was so slow
Sorry that i use my brain to form my own opinion and you use yours to get your opinion from others lol
Idc if you built the campus lol tf does that have to do with thisYou have no idea what I know and I've been around this program since before you were born.
You're one of those guys huh? Lol. You don't believe good things happen to you. You never see the cup half full. Just an overall pessimistic one. lolUntil proven on the field this is by far a weaker line than last year. I could care less about PFF rankings.
At first I thought he was a pessimist, now I think its just a troll accountYou're one of those guys huh? Lol. You don't believe good things happen to you. You never see the cup half full. Just an overall pessimistic one. lol
How's the line weaker? Miami moves Mauigoa to LG and in my opinion it's stronger. It's a reason why Cohen didn't get drafted, and THAT'S AFTER going to the NFL junior combine. Matt Lee came from AAC competition whereas Zach Carpenter is coming from the Big 10 where he led the conference in some stats. Jalen Rivers has finally played a season at LT and coming into his 2nd year at it, he should only be better. Anez Cooper has massed up in muscle and is 10X more in shape than last year.
LT - Jalen Rivers
LG - Francis Mauigoa
C - Zach Carpenter
RG - Anez Cooper
RT - Samons Okunola/Markel Bell
is just as good as last year. So stop it!
So you are moving your starting tackle to get unproven guys in the field on a team that is pressured to win 10 games at least? Very few head coaches will take that risk..You're one of those guys huh? Not really a risk. It actually makes more sense. Mauigoa is more suitable to be an IOL than a tackle. He'd certainly help make the run game even stronger. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the move they make. The best things about it is...Miami's OL won't see a better defensive front than they will on greentree. So you are moving your starting tackle to get unproven guys in the field on a team that is pressured to win 10 games at least? I think they return 5 RS Seniors across the front. Thats crazy experience even with Covid playersWas surprised pff just left ok state off of their list
I was thinking the same. He’s probably a year behind everyone physically. But he’s been a project since day 1 so we shall see.**** man, Frankie looks sloppy.
I wonder if the back/shoulder are still bothering him.
Dam ya brutal, coming off back injury and tryna get back in swing of things.. **** is real life**** man, Frankie looks sloppy.
