On3 updated 300

On💩 is trying so hard to be different. If they really wanted to do something right they would’ve dropped Arch Manning. They want clicks. The Dante Moore drop is unexplainable. He was unreal at the elite 11. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see he’s elite.

Not sure why our fans keep saying that these rankings dont matter. They matter a ton. Highly ranked players want to play with other highly ranked players. Getting commitments from highly ranked players helps build buzz. Surely it'll have a benefit with the NIL. It will continue to push the narrative that Miami is legit this time.

Sure we can say "just win games", but guess what, as fans we have no impact on that. Fighting this fight is literally one of the only things us fans can do to actually benefit the program and these kids.

These kids know who is good and who is not outside of these ranking. Ranking are essentially irrelevant once you sign on the dotted line.

Every kid doesn't know all of the top 247 or however many other kids. Thats just unrealistic. And the rankings do matter after they sign on the dotted line because thats how teams get ranked in the pre-season... Which in turn decides which games get which TV spots and a bunch of other things.

Texas was a 7 loss team last year who ESPN has ranked #7 in the preseason, majorly due to them landing that 5 star transfer Quinn Ewers, even though he hasn't played 1 snap yet. His rep is solely from his 5 star rating. It matters.

I know that. I'm saying if he got the same 5 stars, he'd put them in the league at the same rate. It sounds like what you're saying is if Miami got a 5 star in the past, he was less likely to make it to the NFL. Therefore, ranking should drop for new 5 stars. But that's not the same as saying if Saban only had 2 and 3 star recruits he wouldn't put them in the league.
Yeah, I agree that he's probably putting as many blue chip kids in the league at bama as he would at App (minus a few b/c playing at a big-name school isn't nothing). I'm just repeating what I thought the rating sites had said as far as moving kids up and down based on where they're going. So it might make sense for a Miami commit to drop and a bama commit to rise (at least for now).

No, but try again.

A chip on the shoulder is a great motivator for many.
Let them prove it on the field and shove the f-ing ranking down the throat of on3.

These rankings are a joke. What could you possibly do on the camp circuit and off-season to warrant nearly the entire class moving up and down 50+ spots. It’s not just our players. Inniss dropped into the 80’s but Stafford moved all the way into 70’s. There is an interior OL from Georgia who moved all the way from the 550’s and is now ranked around 90.

They are essentially saying all their evaluations from in season and film were ****.

247 moved Dante Moore UP to the #2 player in the country from #11.

On3 moved Dante Moore DOWN from the #10 player in the country to #43.

Same day.

I told you mother fvuckers 100 times, this whole ratings thing is a perverted, biased, amateur incompetent clown show.

🤡
I mean technically so is the NFL Draft and those guys are paid millions to repeatedly and consistently get it wrong.

To me, when one of the recruiting service has players ranked NOWHERE near where the other three major services have them, it's a red flag. You're either saying that 247, Rivals and ESPN are all totally wrong or you're purposefully giving out oddball rankings to give your site more attention.

247 article say all our players got a bump up only Ray Ray Stay down. Pop move up from 121 to 191 Stafford move up 13 spot. Emory Williams jump from 66 QB to 33. Samson move up to 16 overall. Rashada move up. Targets move up too. Damon Wilson now a 5 star.

Riley move down from 66 to 85 Robby move up from 172 to 86 Russaw drop, Malik Bryant drop from 46 to 91 Monroe Freeling in the top 100 Alinen got a bump up. Hykeem jump up, Chris Johnson move up. But biggest jump was Andy Jean now a top 10 WR in the class. And Damon Wilson from 108 Edge to 25 now consider a 5*

Post missing some valid points. UF has a chunk of highly ranked kids, how successful have they been with 3 coaches in last 5 years? Also these ****** rankings factor into other sites so you can't say just ignore it.
You can easily ignore them and every other recruiting service once you realize they are amateurs just like you and me. But hey what’s the fun in *****ing and complaining when our recruits aren’t ranked where we want them…
