OnSTD is the equivalent of Skip Bayless on meth and krokodil. Being contrarian just for the sake of being different.

What's funny is 247 uses a weighted scale for composite so it could be much worse.

The consensus ranking should not account for the lowest and highest ranking per player. Like grading on a curve. ON3 is so far off from the others. So he would avg to be around 30th. Not 50th.

on3 shouldn't be entered into any composite when they're SO far off every other service

No the NFL draft is completely results driven. They are trying to acquire the best players possible. There is no subscription sales related bias or personal school or team fandom that gets in the way. Plus they are the best in the world, and it’s still hard for them. These website yahoos couldn’t get it right even if they weren’t biased.

makes for good sports talk...... not much else

I'm saying from a talent evaluation standpoint, the pros make mistakes too.

Obviously this lot couldn't tell an All American from a walk-on and are just going off the offers, but the point stands.
 
As much as 247 boosted most of our commits and targets, the class would have gotten a nice bump. It’s actually crazy that On3 dropped some guys SO LOW that it actually canceled out 247’s update and then some. Composite score dropped

In the end it doesn’t really matter, but holy ****, “baffling” doesn’t even begin to describe these On3 rankings.

Just one example, the other three sites have Rashada at around at average of 30, 247 even bumped him. On3 has him at 193!! Lmao

At some point yall got to let On-trash-trees go. They are clearly there to create tension and clicks. And 247 is owned by CBS, who they represent? The SEC. They are biased. Its clear as day..
 
Miami never landed number one classes back in the day either...

They crooted to their system and developed those players better than everyone else in the country and beat the brakes of those higher ranked classes routinely...

I am okay with that scenario playing out again...

That was a different era and even then was catching lightning in a bottle. Also, while we didn’t sign #1 classes, we had plenty of highly rated recruits.

That is exactly what will happen if these derps keep downrating kids who go to Miami and they develop them and win against the big boys like we all hope, UM will still get plenty of highly rated guys just like Mario is getting now...

On three has a fvcked up rating system but we aren’t the only team being affected by this. Even with their messed up rating we only lost about 1 point on the composite. In the end we have one of the best averages in the country and still have a top 10 class. It’s not like we went #8 to #20 here.

As long as Mario gets who he wants, develops them and wins big games, these jocksniffer ratings experts can prattle on endlessly...
