I find it interesting that while some of our own fans talk about what a tough/bad job Miami is, there are reports that perhaps Charlie Strong would wants to give UM a look before accepting a job offer from Texas

What makes you say he can coach? What has he done? Look at his wins and losses this year. Guy is a fraud.

Btw, Stanford is ten times better than Vandy, with the same or more limitations. David Shaw can coach. James Franklin? Empty stats just like Golden. That's why he's been passed up by every single gig despite mysteriously being a hot name.
 
I just want a coach that will make a smash mouth defense. If they can fix the defense then everything else will fall into place.

Repeat after me:

The University of Miami is not a place for a college coordinator to learn. An elite successful NFL coordinator is fine. A college coordinator is the absolute last thing we should be looking at.
 
Maybe the administration has come to the conclusion that the fans won't spend their $ on product being played on the field and might want to change it with a very good hire.

Schiano had a really nice 2006. Other than that, I shrug my shoulders to my ears. Not impressed.

Who said he is taking a paycheck? The business case justifies paying a guy of his stature. If Golden is making between $2.1 and $2.6 million then with his buyout Miami can pay Charlie $4 million. Or Miami can keep the coaching musical chairs going.

If I was Blake James I would

1. send Golden a text "Yo, tell your new bosses to cut the $5milly buyout ASAP you big ****ie_d b_itch"
2. send Butch a text "head to the Gables, you going to be on this staff one way or another"
3. send Coley a text "hold it down until we figure this **** out"
4. send Strong, Chub, Franlking etc a text "whoever hits me up first gets the job"
5. send a tweet Shalala "we going to need duffle bags hoe!"
